Tying up a man the same height who is by far the quicker man is not a good strategy. It was suicide for Ruiz against Tua, although he made it work against a faded version of Holy. If Wills can be tight enough defensively, his body attack could set up a grandstand finish. For me though, Dempsey batters him.
There is a fair amount of anecdotal evidence that Wills was a much more dangerous puncher than given credit for.
