I wonder how many people's opinions will be changed from that one highlight vid they've just seen posted I think Valdez at his best causes problems, but I don't believe he's as good as his counter part and the only way I see him winning is by knocking Wills out. Maybe 1/10 fights he does that, but Wills was plenty durable. 20 rounds I'd take Wills, 15 makes it more interesting, but not enough to change my pick
I think the general level of boxing skill improved considerably between the Wills and Valdes eras. Taking that into consideration, I think Valdes has a chance. But Wills was by far the better fighter in his era, and I still think he would have been too much for Valdes.
I reckon Nino Valdes must have been pretty good at one point. He certainly gained a reputation over here in UK. Enough so that people actually said Marciano's management were afraid of him. Not sure how it would go with Harry Wills, but I concur with the idea that Wills was more durable and at heavyweight, that is often the deciding factor.
