Absolutely.

The picture seems to be that he fought safety first against durable opponents, and went for the kill against opponents who either lacked durability, or were a danger on the score cards.

 

Seems to be the same thing I've just said.

Either way though, Wills has gone from this mythical man who had Dempsey running scared to someone we can watch, if not prime then very close to his prime.

Watching Fulton v Wills would be good to see if it's just a killer shot or an aggressive display. The series v Langford would be incredible to watch.

 

Will’s observations on the Fulton fight are interesting.

He said that he knew that Fulton would be hard to beat on the cards, but could obviously be stopped.

He claimed that he let Fulton have his way with him for a couple of rounds, in order to set him up for the grand fall.

Combine that with the footage that you see in the Firpo fight, and you start to see why he was feared.

 

Do you think this stems from the way Fulton dominated the same langford Wills couldn't?

 

That would be a plausible explanation.

 

I rate Fulton as a great victory for both because he was the de facto contender before getting splattered.
