It was a hard fight to score with so little going on but I think I had Haye up by a round. I guess the 12th swung it towards Haye for most people. Holyfield did a better job against him but I guess the judges weren't so kind.

Yeah, i thought Holyfield took it close, though i'll be honest i didn't think it was as clear for Holyfield as people made out. Holyfield won it with experience the way i judged it, that tactic of 'stealing rounds' seemed to be present in his strategy i thought. Still though, i thought he won ultimately.
I thought Holyfield won clearly also. I guess what comes around goes around. Old Holyfield winning would've been bad for boxing. Valuev beating Haye would've been bad for boxing.
Yeah I've heard some people giving 6-7 rounds to Holyfield which is a bit much. I hope Haye sorts out his next fight soon anyway, it's no good having 1 fight a year.
Nah what's bad for boxing is when you work your arse off to earn a win and get it taken away from you by some shithead judge(s). I get what you're saying in that new blood is good for the sport and the direction it heads in, but i'd rather people didn't get robbed.
Ah good, i wasn't sure. Do you reckon he could beat Vitali though? I reckon that's a tall order (no pun intended), he's durable and seems a bit unmovable at times. When Haye changed his tactics against Valuev, the nature of the performance wasn't of the ilk that enables me to call him an effective versatile fighter really. His strengths are clearly brawling and punching, albeit with some stylish traits. Vitali might be stopping him i think, although Vitali of late is looking so jaded
Why discount your solid point by making purposefully misleading one ? Makes you part of the choir ...
All I can say about Haye is that he is a decent promoter and is afraid to fight either Klitschko ... what is he waiting for ?
I really don't know if he could beat him. As you said, Vitali is Durable and even at 38 still seems in pretty good condition so its unlikely Haye will stop him. He's much more busy that Valuev so he wont be able to keep out the way for 12 rounds. Then there's the question about his chin and stamina. It's a interesting match up for sure and one that I really hope happens.
Its right in front of your nose and you can't see it. McVea uses exactly the smae type of head movment as a modern pressure fighter. Part of the problem here, is that people like you who insist that the fighters of the past were prehistoric based on these ancient films, are not even particularly good at interpreting them.
