GGG the monster that improves with each fight has a chance to be the first and only boxer to have been ducked his whole career.

Jersey Joe Walcott had to wait until his 40's for a title shot. Maybe Archie Moore also.

I hope that GGG is not the one fighting Hopkins in his last fight. Canelo fighting Khan and GGG fighting Hopkins wouldn't make sense.

The only titles Burley ever held were the World Colored Welterweight and World Colored Middleweight Championship. I never knew of the colored titles. I like to learn new stuff.
Archie Moore called him the greatest fighter ever.
Thanks for that answer. This Charley Burley cat sounds like an interesting dude.

Mike Tysons management paid "GOOD" money for guys to get in the ring with him and they knew that they were going to lose Why doesn't K2 do that?

You think all those welters that Canelo beat up on these past few years thought they had a chance? It was because GBP paid great money for those ass whoopings. K2 NEEDS TO PAY UP!!

fair answer, there's a bunch of guys(almost all black but including lamotta) who were avoided and lacked the backing to force a title fight for most of their careers. burley is a leading figure along with sam langford, harry wills, lloyd marshall and joe wallcott(the barbados one).

Eddie Booker. Everyone ducked him, and he never got a title shot.

The only big name who agreed to fight him was Archie Moore, and Booker beat him.

Ward ducked GGG when he was trying to make a name for himself on his HBO debut. But big G couldn't duck Ward, they aren't in the same weight class.

And Ward ducked Bute so I don't see the point here.
