Doing a little research I found out The Black Murderers Row were so good and so feared they had to have their own tournament. After learning more about these guys when people start throwing TBE around these guys should be included. They were cut from a completely different cloth then todays fighters. Glad I learned about these guys today. Good stuff.

Despite being a top rated contender for a long time, Marvin Hagler didn't get his title shot until approximately his 50th fight.

Joe Frazier told him "You got 3 things against you. One, you're southpaw. 2, you're good. And 3 , you're black!

    That's total revisionist history.

He was offered a chance to unify with Mamby at 140. Only a few months after beating Cervantes for the 140 lb. title, he was offered a Leonard fight at 147, for ten times what he had made a few months earlier for dethroning the legendary Pambele, but wanted more money.

Pryor basically crashed Leonard's press conference asking for a fight, and got an offer. He wasn't satisfied with the terms. It's understandable, as Leonard was a diva and money hog, but Duran on the other hand, was a champ for the better part of 8 years. Headlines numerous MSG events, was on network TV, the cover of Sports Illustrated, and fought on HBO numerous times. He gets an offer in which Leonard got six times as much $$ as him. He said okay, beat Leonard, and then got like $10 million or so for the rematch.

Pryor was offered a Duran fight at 150 but had managerial issues so he rejected it.

Hundreds of boxers with not so fancy records, are the most ducked fighters by Matchmakers. They are usually let out to fade out of their prime unless they accept to fight 3-4 divisions above their best weight, these fighters usually are not manageable & non-agreeable personalities which harms their careers. Their first loss comes by taking a fight above their weight vs a prospect in his hometown. Darnell Boone is one of the few to chincheck blockbuster stars who are naturally bigger than him (Boone KOed Calvin Green @151 & L UD Lara @153)

Main stream fighters who been ducked, thats another story :think

    :nod

Usually they get fights way above their best weight, best part is when they move a Welterweight to 168 to be fed to a prospect & he still manages to beat the prospect for 10 rds only to get robbed on the cards :smoke

    Kell Brook so far.

For those guys who say 'he's only beat Porter', well Porter was FORCED to fight him. And all the name fighters offered a final eliminator to force Brook to fight them, have ducked it namely Bundu, Bradley, Khan, Porter, Alexander, Ali

Several have also turned down voluntaries including Mayweather, Pacquaio, Marquez, Maidana, Garica, Broner, Rios, Provodnikov, Bradley and likely more

Charley Burley vs Sugar Ray Robinson & Champions 147-175
Burley was the first man to punk SRR, regardless of what fanboys say :smoke

Sugar Nicolay Valuev vs Klitschko Brothers
The Little Russians had a very good reason to duck the Russian Giant, SNV was a bigger/stronger Fury, The K-Bros set him up in Germany giving him 2 MD losses vs mobile small boxers, instead of risking facing him, SNV should have retired 52-0-0-0, but 2 MD losses were forced against him as the reigning champ.

Ali Raymi vs Roman Gonzalez & Champions 105-112
This would have been dismissed as a rumor if Roman Gonzalez wasn't called out after his opponent pulled out.

    Rigo.

Donaire is the only guy that's been willing to face him.

What Frampton and Quigg did was pretty embarrasing
