Has a fight been stopped due to both fighters being hurt too much?

    Was wandering if a fight between 2 fighters equally matched and evenly dishing out punishment to each other was stopped due to too much damage to both and neither corners giving in?

    If its the officals job to prevent damage to the boxers, can a ref stop a fight due to both taking too many flush shots and both fireing back?
