has a heavyweight world title fight ever supported a non-title fight ?

    so...it's about to be announced, they say, that david haye will box derek chisora in a non-title bout.
    on the undercard Alexander Povetkin defends his WBA heavyweight title against Hasim Rahman.

    now, depending on if you see povetkins title as a proper title at all that is.

    has this happened before?...a heavyweight world title playing support to a non-title fight ?

    Wlad is the real WBA Champ.

    The bull**** WBA Regular Belt and Super Belt is simply a racket to charge more sanctioning fees.

    I think most of Tyson's post-Douglas non-world title fights had a world title fight of some kind on the undercard. I think JCC Sr. fought on the Tyson vs. Stewart undercard in 1990.
