    Get a clue.

Ward had a good year. Floyd came to the scene guns a blazing and fought the dvision champ in Generado Henderaz and beat top contenders in angel manfreddy, Carlos Henderaz, Jesus Chavez who were all ranked top 10 at 130 to beating a wrecking machine undefeated Corrales who was favored to win. To Division champ in Castillo at 135 twice. That was just 130-135....

Not even close. He might can get close but i doubt he will be a 5 division champ or even 3 division champ. He is about 10 big names behind at this point.

Floyd Resume is one of the best in history. It will not be easy to surpass him.

not even close, cotto is p4p better then froch, abraham and kessler. ward beat the euro fighters but he has yet fight the young prime americans.let him beat dawson and direll plus at least 2 meaningful fights at 175 and then you could bring it up. he won the super 6 but he did not have to fight any of his buddies in that tourny. let ward win a few mirror matches first, the euro fighters cause him little to know the problem.he still untested and another american of his caliber will be the only one to test him. like bad chad dawson cant wait for that fight.thats some high level boxing right there.

Yep i agree too. Ward fought a lot of big euro names and the euro competition is just not as good as USA compeition.

exactly he cant just fight those fighters from that region and be considered on the same level as mayweather resume wise. theres a few fighters from the usa i could match him up with and it would be a tough fight for him i think. also fight some tough as mexicans and puerto ricans well. just fighting englishmen want do it for me.

Well Floyd fought an very good, but unheralded Castillo and an undefeated Corrales and Hatton at their best or close to it, but I'd say from those 3 Castillo is a borderline great being the dominant and best lightweight at the time. A past his prime Oscar was considered the best 154lber when Floyd beat him as was Hatton at 140, tho, fight took place at 147. None of Ward's victories or opponents I think were/are as decorated as some of Floyd's. A 168 version of Castillo the one Floyd fought would be like Froch on steroids and Ward's nightmare. I have to give Floyd the slight edge for now. Ward cleaning house at 168-175 I think makes him as good or greater than Floyd.

I've always thought abraham was there for the taking even at MW and saw his demise at 168 coming a mile off. Credit to him for stepping up but he'd already been outboxed by dre dirrell before getting foolishly DQ'd then absolutely schooled by Froch. Not really in the class of hatton and castillo IMO. It seems Kessler had a potentially career threatening injury and then was horrifically butted in that fight which is a shame as ward probably beats any version of him without injury and using dirty tactics anyway. I think ward is a fantastic fighter but I just don't think his competition has been as high. Allan Green? Please.

Froch's tough, world class but very beatable- this was shown when an injured kessler bested him. And finally dawson- I hear such good things about him but am yet to be impressed and now he's coming down in weight. Hopefully he can make it interesting against ward.

No chance at all. Ward is a long way off that.

Kessler - Wards best win was an unwell, rusty double vision suffering fighter
Froch - his next best win is an old SMW, who until Bute hadnt beaten a top level SMW
Dawson - was beaten by Pascal and all of Dawsons top wins have been against fighters over a decade older than him. Dont say Adamek, as he wasnt a top LHW.

Thats a long way off Hernandez, Manfredy and undefeated Corrales at SFW, before you even go in to all of the other top names Floyd has fought at other weights.
Remember Dawson is dropping weight for this fight

you guys are trippin. floyd makes his competition look mediocre, but they are actually good fighters. his resume is very well. ward fighting dawson at 168 is probably comparable to mayweather fighting hatton. both happened against guys prime fighting in a different weight division.

Yeah but Hatton wasnt draining himself and hadnt been beaten by anyone, unlike Dawson who was made to look terrible by Pascal who couldnt beat a 47 year old

    what?

The Dawson fight does very little for me. It's not Ward's fault since Dawson agreed but still if I am going to rag on Manny and Floyd for their catchweight and drain games than I have to keep it level.

    I found it amusing also.
What has Dawson done at SMW?
Dawson got beat by Pascal who Froch took the 0 off
