The only fight that makes sense ($$$$) for him at 168 is against Bute and he thought he was too good for that. Now he's sitting on the shelf. Fighters making outrageous demands when they hardly have any leverage whatsoever. atsch
Would you not rather see him fight someone in June? Whats so great with one of the best in the game not beeing able to dig up an opponent? I had hoped to see him against Bute, Kessler or at least Anthony Dirrell. All would have been good fights, IMO.
i would like to see him fight Bute after the Froch fight. dont really care who he fights next. he needs a tune up for his inactivity. so his next fight might be a softer touch.
They're probably looking for a fight for him, Ward beat up everyone in the S6, he deserves a vacation.
And that will factor in his decision to unify 168 or move up to 175 to fight Dawson or even Cloud on HBO. If he doesn't fight Anthony Dirrell he gets stripped of his WBC title at some point this Fall/Winter. Before this happens, he will announce a "P4P move" to LHW to fight Dawson/Cloud. He could have fought Bute, theres a good opponent Anthony Dirrell is his mandatory, theres a good opponent Andre Dirrell was the guy he was supposed to fight in the S6, theres a good opponent Robert Stielglitz is free to fight, theres a good opponent :huh Why hasnt Andre Ward picked an opponent yet? is he even going to fight this year?
