There was a thread a while ago about punches to the heart and how damaging they can be.

i think so. i am no medic but there are lot's of examples where people get hit in the kidneys and **** blood. personaaly about 20 years ago i once kicked a guy in his kidneys and when i had to appear in court there was a doctors report that the guy had a crack in one of his kidneys due to my kick.
a good decent HW can probably punch as hard as i can kick. so chances are that they can **** up a kidney real good

Surely the most serious injury would be a burst liver. I know some fighters have needed their liver operating on, if they didn't get that treatment would they die? Maybe die shortly after?

This is a ringside report of the Jeffries v Munroe farce, there is no mention of Munroe vomiting blood, or anything else after the brief encounter.
Munroe did not land a punch in the first round.
