Has any commentator ever embarrassed themselves like Foreman did with Tito/Hopkins?

I don't think it was so much quitting as it was getting kicked out to pasture, Roy Jones had shown interest and was a better commentator than George was. Then Roy was replaced by Lennox, and eventually Lennox will be replaced by probably Floyd Mayweather Jr. who has done some analysis with them in the past(along side Winky Wright if I remember correctly).

At 2m40sec of the 2nd round, Kellerman said, "At this point of the fight, Roy Jones is making Joe Calzaghe look like a washed up Felix Trinidad."

Kellerman - also for Tzsyu V Judah.

Kellerman at the time had Judah pegged as the next Pernell Whitaker for chrissakes- and was especially proud having made the comparison early on in Judahs amateur career- so had alot to gain for his own credibilty by Judah doing well. This is always a mistake- one i see Doug Fischer doing now with Valero.

anyway- as we know Tszyu knocked the brain damage out of Judah. I thought Kellermans first period had literally come . He looked like he was going to cry- saying or weeks afterward that the stoppage was premature- given that it was a flash knockdown- and that Judah looked to have regained his consciousness- and would/could.should- you get the point-

the best was when a brain specialist contradicted him- saying that a double concussion- which is what Judah looked to soon be recieving- would have been fatal. Kellerman kept on with his argument despite contrary medical evidence- to this day. Now we- except for Max- all know how dangerous that situation is- being out on your feet- and then being hit again- ( a comparison of two knockdown types- castillo v corralles- castillo - out on your feet- very dangerous - Coralles- flash ko- bad but not as bad)

in any case- Judah was all ****ed up- Nady saved his life that night.

I never liked Lampley - mainly coz he always seemed like such a smug idiot.

Was it during the Lewis vs. Tua fight where Lampley uses a word in reference to Tyson(I can't remember which, perfunctory, maybe?) and Foreman clearly has no idea what it means, cause there's a amssive pause and he just says " ... this is Lennox Lewis".

Then when Lampley reiterates, Foreman stutters a bit and makes a terrible attempt at covering up he has no dieas what the others are on about.

Foreman is boxing's #1 idiot commentator and Kellerman is #2. Teddy atlas used to punk Kellerman out on FNF for goodness takes, that says something. Foreman's biggest problem is that he would just disagree with Merchant for the sake of disagreement, there was often no logical reason for his arguement. The best expert commentator HBO has had is Roy Jones Jr. Love him or hate him he knows boxing and more often than not been proven correct about the direction a fight is heading long before it would be obvious to most others.

  12. Huge respect for Foremans commentating. Blokes not an formally educated analyst or the best gentleman but hearing his views was genuinely insightful. He had good metaphors for certain things and could hype a fight real well.

Can't remember which fight might be Corrales Mayweather, he was backing the loser getting white washed the entire fight. Saying 'if he'd just use that jab a little more....' that was dumb and irritating.

the HBO guys at Chavez-Mayweather 2

Lederman card was 3-0 for Mayweather after the first 3 rounds ... and the commentators said all fight long that Roger was superior and that JCC doesnt carry well his power from 135 to 140, etc etc etc

and then in round 10 , the ****ers begin to realize that Roger suddendly want no more of chavez .... hahahhahahahhhahaaha HATERS!!!!
