Has any commentator ever embarrassed themselves like Foreman did with Tito/Hopkins?

Great point. Perfect example of George disagreeing with Larry is during Wlad-Sanders. Larry Merchant was hyping Wlad the whole fight as the "perfect fighter" then George was dogging him saying he never won or proved anything. When Wlad got knocked out Larry then admitted to George he was right and Wlad couldnt take a punch. George immediately does a 180 and starts praising Wlad for getting up after being KTFO and saying hes still a great heavyweight prospect. Hilarious.

Roy Jones is a great analyst, but he also tends to be the biggest self promoter when he commentated. I found it pretty entertaining though.

To me the difference between George and Roy was that Roy seemed to at least be conscious in the boxing world/realm. Many times Roy would reference fighters NOT on HBO or fighters nobody had heard of at the time.

According to Foreman, there were 4 fighters in the world:

The two guys in the ring
    Archie Moore
    Himself

That is pretty funny. I remember when Ferdie Pacheco called Michael Olajide -Michael Olajuwon.

Let's not even touch on Lennox Lewis' collection of name snafus:

    Kelly Palic
    Steve Juevo
    Ali Fon1gga
    Ali Formega
    Yuriorkis Gamboga

Just a few off the top of my head, Ali Funeka's name really kicked his ass

I love Foreman's commentary. When it was good, it was pretty good. When it was bad, it was great.

In a way I could see the value in it.

I still love the Herol Graham-Julian Jackson commentary. From start to finish it's just absolutely top class.

RJJ provided way more insight, although I was always astounded how he managed to reference himself in every round

"That was a great left hook he threw"

"He must have been watching my fights"

"speed is too much for him" "Just like my opponents"

"Great combinations" "I know a thing or two about combinations"

    Roy, WE KNOW.

George always favored punchers, no matter who was fighting. It was easy to see how he judged fights though.

Yeah Roy was quick to put himself over. I'm surprised his ego didn't get it's own paycheck.

George Foreman was just inappropriate. He's charismatic and a fun guy to listen to but his analysis was almost always off. My favorite was Cotto-Torres. He was constantly talking about how Torres could take Cotto's power, even though Cotto was knocking him down at will

This was awesome. Just awesome. What tf do you say if George Foreman tells you to be careful what you say next? Holy ****...Poor ol' Lamps...

    Bahahahahahahahahahahaaa...

Then just as funny is when Big George physically defended Lamps and Merchant in MSG when Golata hit Bowe in the nuts so many times in a row and a giant riot broke out....

LOL...you gotta love George Foreman. Wish he had the color commentators job again...
