Has any fighter completely unified in their third weight class in the 3/4 belt era?

That's why I included the big three era as well.

I figured one of the weight jumpers from the 80's would've pulled the trick off given that the fights were easier to make and there was one less belt necessary for full unification.

My original random though was what fighter has moved up the most divisions to completely unify a division. It seemed crazy that in about 40 years, give or take, the answer is only 2, maybe 3 depending on how you view Roy since the Dariusz fight never came off and the WBO was new, but there.

Oh, I’ll need a minute to think about that. Roy definitely doesn’t deserve it though, given that Dariusz was lineal at 175.

Hamed took IBF, WBO, and WBC at 126 in what was still the three belt era. He wasn’t allowed to unify and keep his WBO, which he preferred for whatever reasons.

Good shout on Hamed. I'm inclined to lean that beating those champs counts just fine even if politics stopped the unifications from being "official"

Seems like the WBO wouldn't have gotten off the ground at all without grassroots support from the UK and German fighters in its early days, so maybe that played a part in it.

That Crawford video is hard to watch. You'd think it was impossible to make that weight for someone his size.
Heck it's like Spence trying to make 140

Well the fact that he came in as high as 153 when he was campaigning down at 135 and Spence weighed just 2lbs or it might have been 3lbs more than that when he fought Ocampo at 147 tells you all you need to know about that. Granted Spence has come in as high as 160 before or even 162 for an over the weight clash.

And a lot of these multiple weight champions who moved up through the divisions are proven PED cheats.

I've not followed boxing enough to know about making weight the day before a fight.Paulie M thinks this a modern thing with the aid of unnatural means to do it.He even gives a few examples of old fights where just four pounds made all the difference.
I actually like Crawford but him claiming titles down there against what would have been midgets to him is nothing to boast about.
Seeing Lomo rocking bigger guys with his right hand jab and that left to the liver is truly impressive.

Find me someone who’s been a champion in 8 divisions across 10 weight divisions. Don’t care how they did it, just find me one. Better yet, find me someone who beat the lineal champ in 4-5 of those.

    Ok well then.
