I was referring to GGG's competition. He's fought guys who have made it to, or very near, the top. That should be respected. Sorry he doesn't have a ATG resume but that's no reason to disrespect guys like Geale, Rubio, Lemieux, and Murray.
Maybe not noteworthy to someone who doesn't follow boxing that closely and is a casual fan, which most of you haters are, but for the rest of us, his resume is perfectly fine and he has a lot of solid wins.
GGG is obviously great and it is a shame that I (and we) am not seeing soon GGG-Alvarez which would have been awesome. Lemieux's former trainer said that Alvarez didn't take the fight because GBP know he would loose and that it is their only cash cow.
he fought murray, Lemieux and geale, all world level. that's three. no elites yet, but I think its too late to sign one now hes 34...he'd be facing them when he himself is 35/36.
Geale is a former champion and unlike Cotto, Golovkin fought his at 160, his next fight will be at 168..................Alvarez had the WBC title, gave the title up because is was so afraid of Golovkin, Murray was good, Macklin, Wade was a mandatory, he has fought a lot of top ten fighters. Golovkin wants to unify all the titles at 160, which means he will fight Saunders next, then Jacobs, Alvarez anytime, Quillin, you name it......................Golovkin is the best 160 lb. in the world today............
