We're not far off of it. WBO has only been recognised as a major sanctioning body after around, I don't know, something like 2004 or 2005, when they became unifiable with the other titles. Like the IBF it took some strong champions to back it also. IBF got backing from guys like Holmes and Hagler. Over the years guys like Tapia, Volo, Calzaghe, Calderon, Pacquiao, Arce, Barrera and Morales have been big WBO men. Those are all going to the IBHOF without doubt, I think.

Werent Oscars first 2 or 3 titles at the low weights WBO

Cotto won his first belt as the WBO and made a name with it

Dariuz M was WBO and got dicked out of the other fights and couldnt get Jones but he should get in

Joe C had it a long time but also unified the 3 other belts and moved up and won the Ring title there but his long WBO reign is the solid majority of the career

    Wlads had it twice

I think the WBO isnt a bad title to win its stock has definitely risen as a serious title

De La Hoya really put the WBO on the map by holding one of their belts and not dropping it immediately. Several fighters won a WBO belts but most at least for the first 10 years or so would drop it immediately. Hamed also brought credibility to the WBO.
