Can not blame Andy for not wanting to fight live opponents.

 

When he figths thats often it is ok.

 

Is he wearing a ****ing syrup? He looks like that game show host that comes over to judge the talent contest on Father Ted.

He won the first 3 rounds... that's it.

 

I'm an Andy Lee fan. That said I don't think this opponent is anything other then a profile promotion for the Chicago area where they are growing his fan base. He seems to have fans in Chicago and New York which is good for his American profile.
That said it is no where near as good an opponent as the likes of Michael Walker.
He can be forgiven though because
1> Andy wants the best opponents its not his fault his team havent got them yet
2> only 2 weeks ago he KO'd Walker which JAcobs failed to do.
3> It is evident that his team are close to securing a big fight in March and a decent opponent possibly in December in John Duddy.
4> The man himself has politely called out Paul Williams/Sergio Garcia and Matthew Macklin.

I agree though that Emmanuel Stewart needs to sign him up with GBP or Top Rank or Shaw.

 

What a joke...40 year olds might be okay when its Bernard Hopkins or Glen Johnson...special fighters...but a 40 year old journeyman? Deplorable...

Awful mismatch. Anyone defending this travesty is well out of order.

 

I'm hoping the next few months are more encouraging when it comes to Lee's opponent, better than last 12 months anyway. At the moment it's clear that they're just trying to build him up more in the US, but a good test and a step forward is badly needed.

 

Bare minimum should have been a rematch with Vera, but now Pavlik has that!!!

 

Vera was offered a career high pay day and refused. This has been confirmed by both camps. They can't hold a gun to his head and make him fight can they.
