Seen the highlights only about 3 mins long though. From what I seen it was foul filled and not a great fight. Giardello lands a peach of a head butt also.
Ive only got highlights, its not good. It flared up when they exchanged headbuts then it setled down to the prety misrable tangle it had been until then. lots of holding and feints.
Same were, 3 min hls. It was a ugly fight judgeing from the clip, I suppose some styles just dont mix well I guess.
I have the whole fight. Giardello was robbed, moreso by the ref than the judges. It was an ugly fight. Fullmer didnt want to fight and turned out a Ruiz like performance.
Joey won an extra doctorate in the school of hard knocks in this fight which helped him, no doubt, in being able to win the middleweight title in '63 vs Dick Tiger.
