I'm planning on going this year and was wondering what to expect. Specifically in terms of how accessible the fighters are to get your picture taken with them (I do plan on going to the banquet dinner for a little more accessibility). As well as any restuarants or bars in town that might be a hotspot to meet fighters during the weekend. Any and all advice will be much appreciated, this is my first year going and I want to make the most of my time.

you better get your hotel booked quickly, they fill up a year out sometimes, - get a rental car and expect to get a hotel about 20-30 miles away around Syracuse, Canasota is a very small town - as far as meeting boxers, its real easy and they are open to pics and autographs, after the dinner they all go to Grazianos resturant to drink and relax.
I was in the Army stationed at Ft.Drum 60 miles north and went every year for the last 12when I wasn't deployed. Check out my website for last years pics. www.ibsboxing.com if you need more info let me know

Thanks for the info. I stay in Augusta, GA. Planning on visiting my family in Newark and making the drive over there that day.

it's a four day event and you can get the schedule from the ibhof website - the actual induction is only an hour event on sunday - its a must to visit the card show on saturday - $10.00 admission and its like a comicbook convention but all boxing vendors complete with boxers that sign autographs. The golf tournament for $85.00 is great, you can actually team up with a boxer as part of your team, drinking, golf and prizes. Friday is usually a open workout with boxers usually B-hop and Cristy Martin, last year was Deontay Wilder.
