Ya -- I know -- styles make fights -- and that argument is obviously valid in this context. I'm just curious to know if anyone changed their pick for the Froch/Abraham fight after seeing them against a common opponent. Discuss.
i think froch is there to be hit, and AA will be pissed going into that fight i stink AA takes it, but i'm not 100% sure....wanna see how kessler does first one is is certain, someone is getting KTFO
no froch will be right in front of aa. with his hands where they are its going to be very hard to make it outta there upright. if froch can pull this off i'll be very very impressed. as it stands i expect him to have to be told what happened in the fight prior to the ko.
No. AA will still send Froch to the land of ZZZ. Froch is almost the PERFECT opponent for AA. I'm not picking Froch over Kessler, but I admit he has a good shot at winning. He cant outbox Kessler, but he CAN outslug him. But I honestly cant see how he's gonna beat AA. He doesnt have the skills to outbox him like Dirrell did, and trading with AA is suicide in the long run.
I haven't changed my mind either. That damn low left hand is probably going to get Froch sent to the land of Nod!
It's close to a coin flip at the moment but I can see that huge looping left of AA's landing due to Froch's lack of mobility, and when that happens I'll know for sure.
Froch stills gets KTFO in this match. It will also still be his second time in a row experiencing this.
AA KTFO of Froch. If Dirrell can cause damage, AA will win easy. If Kessler KTFO out of Froch, I say The Crotch's primitive skills and luck are done in boxing. Nonetheless, he still has a chance with Kessler, who's head and skills might not be there after the Ward battering. If he manages to regroup, Kessler wins, and that spells disaster for Froch. I'd be amazed if he Kessler loses though.
Even before seeing AA fight Dirrell I thought Froch had a decent chance of beating AA. While Froch is clearly there to be hit I could quite easily see him out working him and forcing AA on to the back foot. Could AA fight as effectively if he is the one being constantly forced back and I think Froch has the advantage in strength. AA has shown serious power at middleweight and against a former middleweight in Taylor but will his punches have the same effect against a big and durable supermiddle like Froch. It's an even fight for me at the moment.
Nope, Froch doesn't have any of the tools that Dirrell used to beat Abraham, he is durable, but thats not enough against AA.
The only chance that Froch has is to pressure AA for all 12 rounds. He has to throw the jab permanently, so that AA is forced to take risks. Then we will see if AA is able to adapt his game plan (he never did against Dirrell). However, even if Froch is battering him with his shots, I predict that AA will catch him sooner or later, because Froch doesn't have the footwork and skills that Dirrell brings to the game.
Picked Dirrell to beat Abraham by decision and still pick Abraham to KTFO Froch within 9 rounds, with Froch winning most if not all of the early rounds. The Dirrell fight has confirmed to me how good Abraham really is and whatever doubts I had about him vis-a-vis Froch have now been dispelled.
