Before the Dirrell/Abraham fight many people said Abraham/Froch would be a war. I thought, "No! It's going to be an ass whoopin'!" I now believe that it may in fact be a real war.

I've pretty much always felt that there were two ways to beat Abraham. 1) use speed, movement, quick combos, et, to box his ears off. 2) Jump on him early and establish yourself as a bigger-badder bully. I think there is a chance Froch may be able to pull off option two; a small chance, but a chance none the less.

And ya -- anything can happen in this tourney. The two green prospects, who really didn't even belong at this level, already beat the two guys who were probably the favorites going in:patsch

Just to throw another idea into the mix......Dirrell never planted his feet and sat on a punch at anytime during the AA fight, yet he was visibly hurting AA with some of his shots even though they were "stinging" punche's rather than "heavy, hurtfull" punches.
Now i'm a Froch fan but i'm honest enough to recognise how much damage the big left dirrell landed in the 10th round did,i'm pretty certain that shot would have finished most SMW's and its reasonable to suggest had he landed a punch like that on AA the DQ might never have happened.
When Dirrell landed that big shot it was at a period in the fight when Froch was clearly frustrated and trying to take Dirrell out with a big shot, this is what concerns me about Froch. He's not the greatest defensive fighter at anytime, but when he goe's "head hunting" he just walks his opponents down with zero regard for anything being thrown back at him,and against the likes of Kessler and AA that would be a mistake.
To summarise,i'm still picking Froch against Kessler and AA,but i can't completely rule out Froch doing something reckless in order to get the KO and being hurt in the process.

Not really. I still think it will be an absolute war.

I agree with the general sentiment in this thread, but I've been careful not to give Abraham too much credit for the Taylor win, even though he was more impressive than Froch in beating JT.

It's gonna be a 36 minute shoot out, with Froch starting well before Abraham comes on strong in the middle rounds.... then Froch applies the heat down the stretch.

Win or lose both guys are going to have to take a lot of punishment, and might well be faded afterwards.

See the bold? It looks to me like Froch has way better stamina than Abraham. I think he may be the more dangerous man if the fight gets into the late rounds. However, Froch being Froch means he'll probably take a lot of punishment in order to get that far.

I now see this as a very intriguing fight. I did not think it was all that interesting a week ago.

AA by ko....i liked watching AA get his ass whooped by Dirrell but AA has a killer instinct that is crazy..

he walks with this wild ass look in his eyes..so i give the edge to AA still Froch gets hit too much

I disagree about froch taking out AA later it will be around the mid rounds i still say early, you may be shocked!! but frochs physical presence and heavy hands will cause damage, you will see abraham staggered and dropped, froch has a long reach and at the end of his shot he packs damage, reminds me of Pavlik, watch how Pavlik throws long and strong,

Whenever AA is in the ring, I have to vote Abraham by K.O.
(Or DQ ect... But someone is getting layed out)

Kessler will KO froch, AA will KO froch, no doubt ppl will say in a rematch Dirrel KO Froch, Its amazing how easy everyone can KO this man who has uhm never been KO before. Maybe there is a reason for that and my prediction is he stops both Kessler and AA.

AA also has never been stopped...Froch is not Dirrell

Dirrell was able to win, because he has great movement skills and is very fast on his feet. Froch is slow on his feet and with his hands. AA is going to knock Froch out. I don't think Kessler has the power to stop Froch. He'll probably win a UD. Abraham absolutely can KO anyone in his weight class if he can land a flush shot. Against Dirrell he never had the chance to land one of these punches that KTFO Gevor, Miranda, Taylor, because Dirrell was simply to good that night.

I was undecided on the fight but now I'm leaning towards AA winning by KO in the later rounds. I think Froch could decision him though. It will be a good fight and one or both of their tournament lives could be on the line depending on what happens in Kessler-Froch. This has all the makings of an excellent fight.

    AA got the
    - Better Chin
    - More Power
    - Better defense

So if it turns out to be a war, AA by KO.

Also if it is a war, it suits AA's style more

No!! AA will knock Froch out within 7 rounds and people will jump back on the AA bandwagon until he faces either Dirrell again or Ward!!

No, i feel that you need to fight a masterful defensive yet active fight and execute a perfect gameplan to beat AA. Dirrell did this perfectly, and even then, he was starting to get pressured real bad late on in the fight. Froch has very little chance. AA by KO.
