GGG owns the 160 pound division. There are some here unable to accept that reality.

    36 fights. 36 wins. 33 KOs.

Anyone who follows boxing knows GGG owns 160, and anyone who fights him at 160 knows deep down they will lose.

You obviously know very little about this sport. I'll cut you a little slack.

Canelo was willing to take 5 million to fight Cotto who took 15 mil guarantee.

But somehow GGG who is less popular than both Canelo and Cotto is demanding more than 10 million plus ppv? Gtfo! Lol

He doesn't even own a weak division. Canelo is the Champion of the division, whether you like it like a boss, or not. SOWWEY

Serious boxing fans don't see it as a popularity contest. It is a brutal sport not a pop song contest.

GGG is the best 160 pound fighter on the planet whether he has less fans than Maroon 5 or not.

Canelo back doored his way to a 160 pound title by fighting an opponent at 155 pounds and then binned the belt in fear because the owner of the 160 pound division was coming for him. That he still holds anything at 160 is a clear demonstration of the mess boxing is in. The guy has never even fought at the 160 pound limit :clapclap:

If Hearns didn't overpay GG and Brook for that fight we probably wouldn't be in this situation. 10 is top dollar in boxing only 2 fighters I can think of earned more on a by fight basis and neither GG or Canelo are on THAT type of level.
Seriously name me all the guys in the past 10-15 years that make 10 mil or more in a fight and tell me if either GG or Nelo are on that level.
All this really is, is just fan hype for the fight though all of this is just feeding anticipation more people are getting interested in the fight wondering when it'll happen. realistically it probably will be bigger next year but at VERY BEST this fight does just over 1mil PPV's and that's being generous imo, both need to just sack up and fight especially GGG who's ledger is lacking.

All the ducking talk is just talk after a certain point it ain't being ducked you're just not doing enough . think about this the only semi decent names GG has fought the fights only got made because the other side put up the check, vs Lemuiex it was GBP who foot the bill and vs Brook it was Hearns who guaranteed both guys money.
K2 doesn't get good fights because they're cheap!

The irony is that no one cared about 160 until GGG came along and I mean no one.
No youtube videos or guys talking about the "hot" middleweight division .
No post on this site about any of the fighters there.
No one trying to unify the division.
Nothing. 160 was on dying legs, *pun intended, after the Martinez vs Chavez Jr. fight. Quillin wasn't doing ****, Jacobs was half way coming back, Martinez was semi-retired, Martin and Macklin were unknown, on and on.
All that people cared about was 147 and who May and Pac were fighting.
I have to give credit to K2 for actually making the 160 scence good again.

You're an idiot and have nothing else to say to you if you cannot comprehend that boxing is a business first. Everyone involved in boxing do it for financial gain first idiot. Drawing power rules boxing.

Good luck buddy..you're a waste of time and very boring.

So let me get this straight. ggg should make more money than canelo did against pbf? How can anyone take you serious? The money isn't there for more. Ggg isn't canelo he's no where the draw not to mention this fight isn't even in the same galaxy as pbf- canelo. You ggg fans are delusional 10 million is more than fair.

And there's a very good reason why 10 million is a fair offer when ggg has done only 97k in ppv buys and this fight won't do nearly as much as pbf-canelo a fight in which canelo earned less than 10 million for.

And Hopkins owned the 160 pound division anyone who follows boxing knew that. Still he took less was dictated to and fought at a catchweight against oscar. Hopkins unlike ggg did what he had to do to get the fights he wanted made. Try keeping things semi real or it's a waste of time talking to you.

10 mill is bloody good money for that fight, I honestly don't think GGG or Canelo really want the fight they both just know its a fight that has to happen at some point due to the fans demanding it, Both parties are acting weird, who makes an offer for a fight nearly 12 months away? The whole situation around this fight is just weird to me, it seem both sides don't really want it and are trying their best to make it look like the other side is the one stalling things.

Golovkin has no reason to just accept right now because the fight isn't even agreed or anything yet and the proposed date is at the end of 2017, which could end up being 2018 for all we know. He has plenty more months to negotiate for a higher pay from this.
    $10m is a lot, though.
