Has anyone else lost their A side status as quickly as AJ in recent history?

Are you aware of what A side and B side means?

People love to see the mighty fall. If he loses to Ruiz like that again it will be detrimental to his career. If he comes back and whips Ruiz's ass impressively it will be big. The best thing that can happen is for him to stop Ruiz in a tough fight. I don't think a 1st round KO helps as much. Remember when Wilder stopped Stiverne in the 1st round? All that did was show us how sh!tty Stiverne got since the last time he fought Wilder. Joshua could come back from this Lennox Lewis style. Lewis never got beat down like Joshua did but he did get sparked out twice and avenged both losses... it would have been better if McCall and Rahman fought better in the rematches though.

Right now I have Joshua #4 behind Fury, Wilder, and Ruiz. He has wins over Whyte KO7, Parker W12, and Povetkin KO7. Those guys are still ranked in the top 10 and there is no reason to think he couldn't still beat these guys. I don't think he is finished. Give Ruiz some credit.

Yeah but Wilder’s last two purses were bigger than almost any purse that Lewis got, probably only both smaller than the Tyson purse.

Nah Ruiz is the champ, the guy who just spanked him around the ring.

Ruiz won't fill up Wembley Stadium that's the point not who has the belts.

Well you stating that a C side exists, shows you are not aware of what A and B side refers to.

It’s more likely now as wilder can see he is beatable, it’s true that he can no longer be considered the a side negotiation wise but he is the a side as far as popularity and fan base is concerned, only fury is on the same level.
Its also true that now wilder finally has a reason to not fight Joshua he brings nothing to the table as far as belts.
They all played a risky game but it paid off for fury and wilder. Joshua lost the gamble but he is probably the best placed to take the loss.

It's actually quite interesting. Before AJ fought for a title Wilder and Fury were the top two. AJ picks up a belt against Martin, defends a few times, never faces Fury or Wilder, gets knocked out and now those two are the top two again.

Makes you wonder how much of his career has been smoke and mirrors.

He has the same amount of belts as Fury and while Fury is a character he is still only drawing a crowd of 9K
