Has anyone else officially given up on Mayweather Pacquiao?

i have...but i have not made it official yet

Not given up exactly but I've got a "if it happens, it happens" attitude. I'm not going to waste (too much!) time thinking about or discussing it.

 

Mayweather is unreasonable.

Drug tests - since when did "Team" Mayweather make the rules of boxing ? - leave that to the Nevada State Althetic Commision.

Demanding probaly lions share of purse because of his big ego = when 50/50 is fair in a fight this big where they need each other to create this super fight.

If you dont want something to happen - you just try and create the politics / excuses to stall the negoations.

And ulimtately to prevent the fight from happening.

Mayweather dosent want it.

Simple.

 

i reckon its down the the tax situation, Floyd does not want another fight this year where he know's he going to earn loads of $$$ because he knows the tax man will take probably half of his earnings for the year back. we know how money orientated floyd is. why dont he just wait till next year and make millions fighting pac. i'm still optimistic this will happen mid next year. but dont hold me to that.

 

mayweather definatly see's something in manny that he does'nt like otherwise this fight wouldve been made, surely theres too much money to be made from it for it not to happen.

i still think mayweather would come out on top as i reckon he has at least another 2 gears to use that we've not witnessed yet but manny would definatly have his moments.

 

i have given up but if it some how comes off in the future ill be very happy to admit i was wrong

 

Call be an optimist but I'm sure this fight comes of next year.

Isn't there an assault charge that's due to go to court against Uncle Mayweather in the near future? When that is cleared up I hope/pray that for the good of boxing this fight can be trashed out.

 

What other talked about fights never came off?

Pavlik vs Abraham
Calzaghe vs Froch
Dunne vs Munroe?

 

Calzaghe-Froch was only ever in Frochs head and to drum up some column inches for his upcoming fights.

Just pointing out that, IMHO, to be a "never came off" fight, a fight should have had least a chance of happening in the first place.

Carl Froch and Fat Mick drumming up the papers doesn't mean that Calzaghe-Froch was seriously talked about.
