Simple question. I know many fighters have blown up and down, Hatton, Morales, Duran even, and came back to win big fights. But has anyone ever blown up as much as Tyson, taking such a long hiatus, and came back successfully?

Blown up that much + stuffed mountains of coke up their nose. Either Fury has a bad cold here or he's Kalle-ed off his nut.

Dustin Nichols shredded himself to get into fighting shape when going life and death and badly hurting Wilder.

    Fury in shape = 260 lb's

Fury out of shape but able to box still = 276 lb's (fatest he's fought at)

Currently he is probably 330-340. I could see him getting down to 290 in no time with proper effort and diet.

If you look at him he's not even proportionally fat like an obese person...he is naturally lanky and flabby around the belly. He'll drop 50 pounds easily in 1-2 months easily IF he wants. He has been training TODAY at Monte Carlo (not partying it up)

James Toney blew up before coming back to make a run as a cruiserweight, beat Jriov and eventually won the heavyweight world title only to be stripped of it for testing dirty

Foreman by accounts was well over 300lbs at one point during his 10 year hiatus.

Ali was well out of shape during his exile.

Tyson was drinking heavily and overweight prior to his **** conviction.

To my mind his voice (and actions) are more of an issue than his weight.

He can shift the weight if wants to, and is still young enough to have at least some kind of athletic prime. At this point though he just doesn't look and sound "right".

Fury said he had 7 stone to lose. That's about 100 pounds.

He doesn't look or sound right at all. Regardless if he can or cannot make it back to the top or not, he sure as hell hasn't helped his cause at all by some of the choices he's made. It's a shame because he has bundles of natural talent.
