Has anyone ever done more long-term damage to boxing than Wladimir Klitschko?

I honestly cannot think of another man who has taken so much from the sport and done so much damage to it. I mean guys like Don King, Mike Tyson, Floyd Maywether, Bob Arum, and company have all done plenty to drag the sport down. However, they have also been involved in some massive highs that excited tens of millions of fans and helped shine a massive spotlight on this great sport.

Wlad on the other hand has become incredibly rich without ever doing anything to captivte a single casual fan. In fact he has turned tens of millions of boxing fans off from the HW division altogether.

In 58 fights I can honestly say that 3 of his 5 most exciting and competitive matchups were when he was brutally stopped by poor opposition. Being Bizarely stopped multiple times is Wlad's biggest claim to fame at this point and no amount of bogus and boring defenses will ever erase that.

It is truly incredible that a man who was so clearly exposed by 3 relative bums has somehow managed to convince a small but vocal minority of boxing fans that he is not only talented, but an all-time great. All without ever being in the ring with even a very good fighter.

He has one of the worst championship resumes in the history of HW boxing yet he's now running scared from his final chance at a career defining fight. He is a true coward and this move shows nothing but disdain for his loyal fans.

35 year old modern era HW champs with 58 fights under their belt do not take on the biggest challenge and payday of their career 8 weeks after another fight. This is not only a cowardly duck but an insultingly bad lie to boot.

His match-making, or more accurately mis-match-making, combined with his incredibly boring/****-scared fighting style has lead to HW boxing being dropped by TV and becoming the shame of the sport everywhere other than Germany.

Wlad is a liar, a coward, and the consensus most boring HW champion of all-time.

I regularly come onto this forum and see Klit fanatics **** talking greats like Joe Louis, Mike Tyson, Rocky Marciano and Lennox Lewis. Really think about what those men achieved and then take a look at Wlad's disgraceful career.

History will not be kind to the shitter of the two Klitschko brothers.

Hi "Davo" or is that David? :hey

You are typical of a Brit, thinking the world revolves around you. The majority of Brits only give a damn about boxing when they have a Brit champ, same for the biased **** brit press.

:deal sign the paper Davie "paperbelt" Hayefaker.

Tyson's fight vs Spinks has more highlights than Wlad's whole career.
    That says a lot.

Say what you want about me and the brits cos there is clearly no defense for Wlad. He's a fraud and a coward.

He is a disgraceful and corrupt clown but he sanctioned ten times more competitive and exciting rounds of boxing in November 2010 than Wlad has managed in his 58 fight pro career.

    Chalk one up to Jose.

According to German paper bild.de Wlad's networth is 20 million EURO. That's not what he makes per fight, that's his entire net worth.

In todays world that's nowhere close to being "incredibly rich".

So you're saying it's okay for Wlad to be a fraud/coward who has destroyed HW boxing because he has made less money than genuinely talented fighters.

    Great argument!

How do you rate Lennox as being knocked out twice with a single punch in 41 fights by huge underdogs? Or his wins against old and shot Holyfield and Tyson? Can you overlook those all like I can?

    100% agree :deal:deal:deal

It's about time someone shut these deluded Klit fanboys up. Vitali I respect, he has a decent resume and a great fight with Lennox to remember him by? What does Wlad have to remember him by? oh yeah, this :yep:yep:yep

No-one overlooks it. But McCall and Rahman landed two lucky punches between them, Corrie Sanders, Lamon Brewster and Ross Purritty brutally demolished him. There's a big different to losing to a lucky punch, like Lewis did with Rahman, and getting outclassed by Corrie Sanders.

Wlad is horrible for boxing, but the long term damage done by Don King and Bob Arum in moving the sport to a PPV-centric one is far worse.

There have been boring, un-liked champions in the past (Holmes), present (Mayweather), and unfortunately probably the future. The Klits are the rain on boxing's parade, but if history shows us anything it's the next guy up (Tyson after Holmes, Pac after May) usually brings a lot of excitement with him.
