Has anyone ever done more long-term damage to boxing than Wladimir Klitschko?

Again you are not clued up.

Haye offered to fight in May/June but Wlad refused(because it would have meant the fight was in England) and gave April/July, Haye couldnt in April as it would clash with Khan so both agreed July in Germany

Then Wlad cameback and said he was fighting Chisora on the April date, and basically messed up the fight with Haye.

Fact is that Haye does not want to fight a Klitschko. Haye has had many chances to fight either one, even after signing a contract! Two contracts broke by fraud Haye. Haye has not chance to win, but I would enjoy watching such a fight. Give Haye a Valium ASAP!

my two favourite fighters are haye and vitali. and despite wanting to watch haye/vlad i honestly believe that haye doesnt want that fight. and heres why.
haye has backed out of 3 klitschko fights. Vlad hates klitschko with a passion...agreed to fight him...i understand why wlad would fight chisora...he wants to stay active, and 2ndly there is a chance haye could do the same thing he did last time, and pull out right before the fight (which im sure everyone knows is possible). were that to happen that would have left vlad inactive for a long time again...furthermore everyone knows that it is vlads/vitalis goal to hold all the belts. they want hayes belt so one can understand that they do want the fight. while haye is merely content holding unto the wba crown and retiring. on top of that he does not seem to want the fight with vlad anymore, and has not mentioned vitali at all. my opinion personally haye is a great boxer, and a perfect promoter. he has made himself a superstar...how ? by calling out vlad for 3 years....getting everyone to look into his profile, and knockouts, and as a result making himself a celebrity....he is a superstar to his followers and the british public and either klitschko fight gives him the opportunity to destroy his reputation, and he knows that. haye plans to be in media, acting, and will still be on the liveshows in britain even after he is retired. plus he loves to talk and brag...he is risking bragging rights, and his reputation by challenging either brother. to him i think its not worth the payday...

How in the world did that 'mess up' the Haye fight?? He offered to fight, Wlad was willing to sign for July 2. There has been buildup for the fight for years, the fact that there is only specifically a nine week buildup before then, is not all that important. It could be built up right now. Haye could make stipulations if he's worried about Klitschko not making it on time. It gives him time to have his mandatory before then. That doesn't mess up anything at all, unless Haye really doesn't want to fight him.

Wladnever received a dubious decision in Germany. Besides, how partizan are Americans with their hometown fights, recent example Andre Ward?

No, this part of the world isn't better than any other, I was just responding to this bull**** that decreased interest in HW boxing in the US equates decreased interest in HW boxing. Seems like you still hold on to the idea that the US matters most.

I think we should murder Wlad for all the horrible crimes against humanity he's commited. The man is a monster, a beautiful sexy nazi monster, and by god, somebody has to stop him. I suggest we collect funds for a super sleek plastic gun like in that Clint Eastwood movie and mail it to either Nay Sayer, Davo, Hendo..whichever is the prettiest. I often imagine Nay Sayer as that black Irish tranny from The Crying Game. We than smuggle them into Wlad's locker room in a giant birthday cake, let them jump out and seduce him with promises of funky butt love, than after he's finished and sleeping peacefully they produce the plastic gun from deep within their mangina's...BLAM! No more Wlad, the world has been liberated from...I don't know exactly.

He's as dull as ditchwater and is single-handedly responsible for turning millions of fans away from the HW division.

Would anyone actually contend Wlad wasn't the reason HBO, Showtime and ESPN stopped showing the heavyweight division? I'm being serious here. At the time of the Ibragimov fight, all three networks, especially HBO, made it clear that they were no longer interested in the division after that one fight and that hasn't changed since then. Manny Steward has talked about this too. The most exposure the division has had in recent years in America, is on ESPN's internet channel or ESPN2, right?

How much blame do you think Wlad deserves? Obviously he can't make his opponents good but he could destroy these guys and entertain people that way, if he chose to, which he doesn't.

I have been bringing this point up countless times over the last year, and even asked Klit nuthugger about this last night. Nobody seems to be able to answer this question. I think it's pretty obvious the Klits are little known in the states and outside of germany it seems. After his fight with Iggy in early 08, HBO pretty much pulled the plug on Wlad. Vitali's only showing on HBO recently was against Arreola and actually did good numbers. Though that was more of a result of the Latino fans wanting to see their first heavyweight champion, not really Vitali's popularity or lack there of.

Yeah, it should be said that despite the Vitali/Arreola fight doing good numbers, that was largely because of the Mexican fans who wanted to see their man win a title. Nothing more than that, despite what the Klitschko fans say, who use the success of the show to prove their man is an international draw
