Has anyone ever done more long-term damage to boxing than Wladimir Klitschko?

Boxing is the truest event sport there is. It was always the ideal candidate for PPV. To blame it on Don King and Bob Arum is over-simplistic, but even if it is true, both men have still done so much more to bring excitement to boxing that Wlad makes them look like heroes.

Mayweather and Holmes both had more exciting and impressive wins in single years than Wlad has had his entire career.

I see where you're coming from but I can't agree. Wlad takes the title of most damaging boxing figure by about a million miles.

    ALL true.

anyone who truely likes klitschkos are not boxing fans.

how can any true boxing fan like how they fight and who they fight!.

they saw their real match that could really test them and they could try and really prove themselves, earn a crap load of money, and get respect from everyone.

but no,b*tch moves left right and centre.

i just wish haye doesnt retire soon, can fight vitali, seen as vitali has more balls than weak chinned wlad.

and haye goes on to fight all the "best" or highest ranked opponents and destroys them in quick exciting fashion like a true heavyweight champion does.

Great fights do belong on PPV. But the run of the mill guys should still be on network tv, or easily accessable via ESPN or regional sports networks where more people can see them. PPV has excluded too many viewers.

Montero -- Golden Boy and HBO have a marketable fight/er in Amir Khan. He just came off an exciting bout, and is gaining in poplularity and stature in an exciting weight division. Essentially, he is the anti-Klit. Why move a fight people will watch to make room for a fight that people won't (and most likely will fall through anyway)?

Who are these 'genuine talented fighters' in todays heavyweight scene? And what should he have done to satisfy you? Traded his brains to ****? Lose more by ignoring Steward's training? Talked trash to make his name more known to kids who like that kind of bs? Staging weigh-in brawls? Would of prison time, beating women or snorting blow lifted his legacy in your eyes?

He hasn't destroyed the division. He and Vitali are the division.

Wait a few years and you see truly horrible shift to next generation belt exchangers.

Haye beats him, even this so called new and improved Wlad (the one not yet tested with a decent opponent)

Even his own corner has to urge him to be more aggressive. The guy takes 10 rounds to finish guys most other HW champs would have out in 3. Show some balls and go for the KO before the audience goes to sleep.

    :rofl:rofl:rofl

Germany is not most of Europe and it is not even close to being the most lucrative boxing market in the continent. Wlad has been relegated to fighting in Germany. Wlad has destroyed the division and so now he is resigned to fighting in the one country that will adore a man purely based on winning, regardless of performance level or opposition. He used to fight in the US (where he lives). He used to get good money (before we realised how awful he is). His current sitution is a complete reflection of his terrible matchmaking, boring style and lack of talent.

Please google any of these search terms before you post ridiculous lies:

    "Corrie Sanders"
    "Lamon Brewster"
    "Ross Puritty"

Also, please then goolge the term "undisputed champion". You will find Lennox's name all over it..... but Wlad...... not so much. Guess Wlad must be fighting in a much stronger era.

Wlad is running scared. He could have fought Haye in May or June. He could also have waited 9 months as he has done successfully in the recent past. He knew a Chisora bout would kill the Haye fight and that is why he took it.

Wlad is a coward and a fraud. Fact.

    Wow.

Just an unbelieveable amount of Klitschko nut-huggery right here.

I never saw the Puritty fight but I did see the Sanders and Brewster fights. In both instances the floor got mopped with Klitschko.

    Those were brutal stoppages.

    :deal Truth.

Those bum losses are Wlad's career defining fights. They define him as mentally weak, heartless and of average skill at best. He has done nothing but avoid challenges since and has shown himself to be a coward inside and outside of the ring. Let's hope he retires sooner rather than later so he can be rightfully forgotten.
