Yeah I did and he was a gent. I told him I was a regular ESB poster and he told me to steer clear from Eye of Timeaus. He said he was a serial arse groper. Advice noted! Thanks again Lenny!!
Hand was a little closer to his face then I had remembered but still think he over reacted This content is protected
Idk be a little humble lol I understand the confidence but if someone asks you who hurt u the most be honest.
Light breeze in a teacup. One can't see the buildup or how this guy was acting prior. He comes off as a wanker to me even in that short passage. Even when Lewis gave him the hint he tries to get back in there. Maybe he was drunk.
Nothing to see here. The dude was treating him like he was public property , got a little bit too close (as 1 poster mentioned maybe the dude had a beer and lewis could smell it off him? just a thought) and lewis wasnt comfortable with it
I've met Lennox twice, both times in Kyiv. He visited our capital in October 2005, and we were waiting Lennox near the Premiere Palace Hotel where he has stopped. Although a group of fans that was waiting to make a photo with him or take his authograph wasn't that big (about 7-8 people), Lennox seemed too egocentric and arrogant to communicate with fans. He made just one photo with a policeman and ignored fans completely. Things have changed when Lennox visited Kyiv for the second time, when he arrived at the WBC Convention exactly 13 years later - in October 2018. He was gald to communicate with boxing fans, made tons of photos and has given thousands of authographs at the special authograph session. He wasn't as popular as Holyfield was among Ukrainian boxing fans, but he was by far the second most popular figure after Evander among all the foreign boxing stars that arrived at the WBC Convention. And he seemed in a great state of mind while Holyfield looked tired, even exhausted because of all that attention to him. Lennox was enjoying it.
I went to Barnet College and met Lewis before he travelled for the Tyson fight. He lived locally and as I was walking to Greggs at lunchtime with a few of the boys and some girls, I saw a Bentley driving past and shouted out, "Lewis". He pulls over and we chat for several minutes. We dapped up and I remember thinking how massive his fist was - wouldn't want to be on the end of those punches. Told him he was going to beat Tyson and he smiled and said he knew. We wished him well and he drove off after saying goodbye and shaking hands with everybody. He was a perfect gent and deffo went up in my books. Top 5 HW of all times easy.
Lewis was local to my parents who live about 5 minutes from Crayford. Back in the early 90’s when I was in my mid teens, me and my mates would occasionally see him doing roadwork in Danson Park. We never stopped him running but he would always acknowledge us with an ‘alright men’. Seems incredible he never matched or came close to Bruno or AJ’s level of popularity when he was active.
Yeah, he did over react..More than anything, listen to lewis after talking about Wilder..In a room full of 10 punchers, hes one of them ..Tbh, I couldn't make any sense of it
The fan was out of line. Disrespectfully aggressive. That's not how you conduct yourself around men you don't know—especially when there are cameras around. Even the hand that he draped all over Lewis' clavicle was too much by itself. Maybe the guy was just clueless and didn't have any street smarts, but he came across like an obnoxious jerk, taking liberties he has no business taking. Lewis could have handled that more diplomatically but I don't fault him for shoving the guy.
Guy was slightly obnoxious. Not worth shoving though. A simple don’t put your hand in my face would have sufficed. Just seemed like an overtly excited probably a little drunk fan. No need to get physical.
