Has anyone ever seen the footage of Sconiers dropping wilder ?

It used to be on YouTube and Dailymotion about 9 years ago, but once Wilder started getting close to a title shot the footage disappeared like it never existed, which is underestandable, since promoters prefer their young contenders to look as invincible as possible before they get their title shot.

My friend Jorge Rojas, who is a retired promoter and former partner of Oscar’s used to own a piece of a Wilder and was at the fight and said it was actually a very competitive fight until the last round. I actually could’ve went to the fight, but I wasn’t too crazy about driving 150 miles to the middle of nowhere to see Wilder knock someone out in 1-2 rounds.

I'm pretty sure I've seen it once upon a time. From my recollection Sconiers caught Wilder against the ropes and launched a robotic but accurate uppercut to Wilder in close then tried to follow up as Wilder was dropping and lost his footing. Wilder looked rattled but not totally out of it, and managed to get back into the fight shortly after.

It really wasn't the worst thing in the world to happen to an up and coming fighter, but it was pretty telling that Wilder's team made such efforts to totally expunge the footage from anyone's memory.

 

The Sconiers KD is infamous for being erased by Wilder's MiB squad.

That thing is gone like the dodo.

MVC says he has it and that it was only a slip or some sht but then MVC is a notorious spinner of facts so ...

Yep it's common knowledge by now that the bomb squad scanned the internet and erased all the videos they could find. To this day that is the only Wilder fight there is no footage on the internet. But what people have yet to notice is that those who regularly ask for the footage or even talk about the fight are starting to disappear. You really should remove this thread or one day a bomb squad van might show up in your front yard. It's probably too late, though.

Who cares? He was dropped 3 times by Fury...thats enough.

 

I sent Harold Sconiers a message asking if he had a copy and he said that he was never able to find it since deletion.

 

I saw the footage. It was a genuine knockdown and Wilder looked like ****, his early uncoordinated gangly easy to hit self.

It looked like Sconiers didnt mean it as no doubt he was paid to go down and dive. But it happened.

Obviously it had to be deleted from the internet.
