Mijares got in there shortly after his upset loss to Vic, seemed willing to continue his career and get things together. But he lost a MD decision that seems more then a little fishy. One judge has him winning by 6 points. Anyone?
I haven't seen it, but I'd also like to know if he got jobbed. I wouldn't be surprised given some of the judges scores against him in the past, like the SD against Alexander Munoz - a fight I thought was a comfortable 8-4 or 9-3 win - and Doug Tucker scoring the Navarro fight 12-0 against him.
No good versions of it on the internet, but reading all eye witnesses accounts, it seems to have been a robbery.
I saw **** copy of it not long after the fight...it was missing a few rounds. Plus it was poor quality so it was hard to see exactly what was landing. But from rounds I saw I remember thinking he was winning..He looked very below par, the other bloke was chucking a lot of wide hooks..That offset Cristian sometimes but I thought he was still outlanding Cermeno is and outboxing him for the most part. I cant definitively say he was robbed but from the rounds I saw he looked to be getting the better of it...And just about everyone I have spoken to who has seen it reckon won for sure.
