I have been buying ring magazine for 10 years and have read a lot of arguments. Have you ever read a piece that was so good about a fighter that it answered all the questions that someone posted against your man.
A lot of insightful pieces from magazines can influence me at times, but i really like to make my own decisions without anyones verdict first.. I didn't like watching a few fighters in the 80's so i made a point of studying the way they boxed , i actually came to love a few of them.. Meldrick Taylor is one of those fighters, he was very skilled, it broke my heart when he was stopped by Chavez..... Good point you made though, magazines can make good on paper points, but to make bold statements you need to watch the men in question..
I wrote two feature sections for world boxing, covered two fights for RING, and wrote an article on one of their greatest boxing covers for their website.
