Two sublime operators, Kalule the tidy southpaw, Kalambay the slick stylist.

Have never seen this, but I see Kalule was dropped a few times and Kalambay touched down in the last round.

Anyone know how the fight went? Kalule won a SD, and Kalambay was a few fights away from the form that saw him beat Mike McCallum soundly, so I assume it was a fair decision.

I admit, my 'hunting down' of footage amounts to a search on youtube:D If anyone can give me info on how it went down, please do, I imagine it's a very intriguing fight.

There was a thread on this a while back. The opinion, if memory serves was that it was a very good fight and that Kalambay was a little unlucky not to get the nod. Never seen the fight myself though.

I'll upload it when i get the time.Like a lot of debatable fights, not enough people have watched it to really get a proper consensus. i'd expect were it a big fight that had happened recently with everyone on the forum seeing it, that it would be a controversial heavily debated fight with varying viewpoints ie first two barrera Morales bouts, Hopkins Calzaghe etc.

Most of those viewpoints of course tainted by biased agenda driven types from the general forum;).

as for me i'm a much bigger Kalule fan, but i thought Kalambay took it clearly in the end in a hard fought excellent bout.

I'm quite pleased and interested if people score it for Kalule though. he gave a supreme effort after a retirement and some bad weight affected beatings, going about the task with more vigour and/or flair than the more highly regarded duo of Graham and McCallum were able to muster at their undefeated peak when both were favourites.
