Has anyone took a soul of a fighter the way Fury did to Wilder?

Yeah right next you guys will say that Kovalev did not decline as a fighter after Ward dealt with him. The fact that a bloke deemed the unbeatable Krusher who destroyed everything in his path until Andre Ward dealt with him and now he has been knocked out several times subsequently proves my point. Hell what do I know after all in these days some people choose to live in alternative realities and believe alternative facts.

    Id respectfully disagree

Boxing is a casual sport and its those fans those want to see blood and Ko's
They literally used to and id imagine still do pay their money after a crap weeks work and want to see a violent finish or a boxer that they really dislike lose

We as the more regular fans enjoy the knockouts, the violence to an extent too but appreciate the science side also

A day tripper just wants the desired outcome

I don't know any casual fans that relish the memory of someone losing a fight like this and I know plenty

I am not sure that’s the point. I may be wrong but I think the issue is if a fighter lost so badly they are never the same. The way Wilder lost was humiliating he is unlikely to get over it is the point.

Chagaev was undefeated and looked Dominant, until Wlad took him out

    I think that changed him

I don't see how Wilder losing is humiliating and that's exactly my point. The guy fought hard and left everything in the ring and deserves admiration for not laying down and quitting like Joshua but instead of that I see people relishing in the wishful thought that Wilder feels humiliated over it. It's sickening to read

I think it’s to do with his persona saying how he literally wanted to kill a man in the ring and how he wanted a body on his record etc. Joshua is admires because he took his loss like a man and would not make excuses and won the rematch whereas Wilder makes ridiculous excuses like his costume being to heavy and the burden of black history month etc.

So Joshua quitting on his feet is taking his loss like a man because he says nice things while the camera is pointed at him? He was practically celebrating with Ortiz after handing him all of his titles. He won the rematch by running away from a fat midget he should be able to blast out easily for 12 rounds. That's not admirable or brave that's pathetic

Meanwhile, Wilder actually fought bravely in both the first fight and the rematch and never quit his corner had to come save him from his own courage, but because hes saying mean things to the camera he doesn't deserve respect for his bravery

News flash for you - everything a fighter like Wilder/fury/joshua says in front of a camera is to promote a fight and absolutely nothing more. Joshua has shown his cookie cutter good boy persona is complete BS just like his phony story about being a drug dealer to sound tough when he was probably selling dime bags like a typical suburban teenager
