Pretty ridiculous post Luf espeically considering the way you hype up Ola. There are some bangers who lack well roundedness that i think would make great fights for Bellew like Durodola, Kudryashov, Gassiev. Lebedev, Glowacki, Usyk, Dorticos, Briedis all have pretty blatant skills and subtleties to their game beyond power and could outbox Bellew. You're either unfamiliar with the division or your patriotism is impeding your objectivity not sure which. Kalenga is a massive banger, Kayode can punch too but is too inept he handled both just fine. Lebedev has improved by leaps and bounds from the time of the Huck fight very evidently with his footwork which you mentioned but that also includes what used to be his most glaring weakness of getting hit by that right hand. He slips, weaves under, and/or pivots and circles out now after throwing in the pocket and is much more difficult to tag with it. He's a 6'3 cruiserweight that moves like Lomachenko Usyk offense HL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQAcZl5N1F8 Usyk defense HL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5m86_0h5x4A
Totally unfamiliar with the division. Aside from the top names of Glowacki, Lebedev, Huck and Bellew I don't know anyone at all there. I don't hype Ola, he's retired now. I just think he had pretty decent skills in his pomp. I was there ringside when he sparked Enzo, surprised he lost to Ramirez though. I'm totally unconvinced by the skills of Lebedev though but I did forget about the Kayode fight so I'll give you that. Never heard of Kalenga though. The only fights I've seen in recent years are Lebedev v Ramirez, Glowacki v Huck, Huck v Ola and now Bellew v Makubu. The division seems wide open to me, ill see this Usyk guy when he and Glowacki get it on. The rest you mention, well I'll wait till I see them before commenting on them. My only point was from what I've seen there doesn't seem to be any technicians at the top level, seems to be more of a sluggers paradise which gives Bellew more chance of success.
Sometimes your posts are interesting but other times you remind me of some of the kids I teach. You often seem to go 100% in your predictions and struggle to cope when they don't come in. You are often clouded by bias as well as we've seen here and when you discuss Joshua. You talk about Bellew fans, he had those singing his name but I wasn't one of them. I wanted him to win because I put a tenner on it. Plus I like a good upset. Maybe Bellew will get out boxed or sparked next time he fights, maybe he'll unify the division, time will tell. But I have a feeling you're already quire emotionally invested in the outcome. Good luck with that.
:wtf Maybe you should refrain from making grandiose statements in regards to subjects you have little knowledge on, it'll make you look like less of a moron.
If no one posted about subjects unless they were experts on them, there would be very very few posts on this site. I stand by my comment about the top 4. I don't see victory being down to being out boxed in those match ups. Maybe there's guys lower down the rankings I'm unfamiliar with who have top quality skills but until I see them I'm not gonna comment on them. Hence why I said imo. This division hasn't interested me for a while, now it seems to be heating up a bit.
I'm not struggling to cope, I knew with Makabu's chin issues this would happen eventually, it didn't shock me in the least, Mchunu had him badly hurt and Mchunu isn't that heavy handed. If you think Bellew has a chance against anybody in the division that you know little about, maybe you should do some more research before making such proclamations that Bellew is capable of outboxing most of them, he didn't outbox Makabu he caught him with a good shot and followed up on it. Am I childlike.... sure I am, I prefer that to being a jaded and humorless dispassionate person.
Fine... maybe I was a bit harsh. Well take it from Vysotskyy and I who do follow the division closely, Bellew will have a very hard time outboxing many of the top guys and struggle with many of the bangers as well. Bellew doesn't have the skill level of Usyk, Lebedev, Drozd, Brieids, Mchunu, Glowacki, Dorticos, Shumenov, Wlodarczyk and maybe even Kucher.
That's not what I said. I said he was able to physically impose himself which might be enough to get him to top spot as I don't see the top names out boxing him, but he got sparked against Stevenson so the same could happen again. If he fights Lebedev or Glowacki it isn't going to be a fight showing off great technique and defensive mastery. It will be a punch up with the strongest man winning. Whether or not that would be Bellew remains to be seen. You call it a big proclamation, it was a post about the way I see fights going between the top 4 names, I never said Bellew can outbox anyone, I said I doubted whether those 4 would outbox him. I even said in my post i was talking about the top level. I never predicted anyone to be leaving the arena on a stretcher and then began to diminish a victory when it didn't go my way. If Bellew gets soundly out boxed ill be wrong, I've been wrong many times before and i'll be wrong many times after. If it's against the kind of opponent I'm totally unfamiliar with that's even better because hopefully the experts on here will enlighten me and ill make some money if the odds are generous enough. How would you determine if someone is jaded and dispassionate? What are they key qualifiers for you there?
We may have a different definition of "technician", but Usyk has top technical skills, Drozd is very skilled too. That they can also bang does not make them technically limited. Lebedev and Briedis are far from sluggers, they both have solid technical skills. All four and few others are far more skilled then Bellew and would probably outbox him, most also hit harder. The division is certainly worth watching.
Is Drozd ever gonna fight again? Usyk has a chance to prove his skills in the pro game against Glowacki which I'm looking forward to watching. Still not sold on Lebedev as a technician. Brieidis I've never heard of before but I think he's the WBC mandatory isn't he? So maybe we'll get to see that fight happen.
badly hurt. is that what u call badly hurt. I suggest u watch it again he wasn't hurt in the least got straight back up as if nothing happened. that is what u call a flash knockdown. the weight of the punch knocked him down but his equilibrium was not affected so it was just a flash knockdown atsch
