Yeah, Hatton was smaller yet you completely ignore that Mayweather wasn't even supposed to be at 147, let alone 154, but that means nothing of course because he won the fight, right?

You mentioned the DLH fight where HE was smaller but instead of pointing that out you mention that DLH was past his best.

Conclusion?, even if there was **** in this discussion you'll find a way to make it smell good in your favor.

Definately big Joe comes out on top and still climbing

Look, he thinks Roy is old.. but he never met anyone that can match his speed, even overmatch it.

Roy could upset him here, and his entire career would be in shambles, he would be a laughing stock.

I don't know where you have been the last 10-12 years, but one of the feuds Floyd had with HBO was their refusal to set up a match with him and De La Hoya when Floyd was 19. Floyd called DLH out when floyd was 19. His whole racial remarks have their roots from those times. As for JC, he refused to come over to the US and fight. That was the holdup besides I suspect HBO not wanting to fairly share sync rights with UK companies. Jeff Lacy, overrated, Kessler, just-OK, Hopkins(robbery). JC has been exposed. If it was such a one sided fight as JC says, then do it again. No he says fight with Hopkins is not worth it because you can't look good versus Hopkins. Well, I'll say it again, WORLD-CLASS athletes of any sport can all adapt and find ways to win. So if he is so good, the next time his slaps will land. Mayweather has skills dude. Love him or hate him, that's apparent. His ego may betray him like Roy Jones's ego did. But he has skills. The best of the guys fighting today. JC SHOWED NO HIGH-END BOXING SKILLS AGAINST HOPKINS WHETHER I THINK HE WON OR NOT. He calls himself the "legend killer". Well I have been posting this all over, the only legend that's been killed is "THE LEGENDS OF JOE CALZAGHE" Should he do what he says and knock Roy out, I will go to every post and eat my words and big-up the positives I see in his game. But other than that, you should be working with the Bush administration with the distortions you present here.

I think Mayweather is still tops with Paul Williams nipping at Calzaghe's heels for the # 2 spot

I see you responded without even reading the thread starters opening post....:nono

Now, where was I.... I think its fair to say that yes, Calzaghe has surpassed FMJ - not in boxing achievments or skills, Bladerunner - but in being the most hated fighter on ESB.

Have you noticed 2 similarities between JC & FMJ - talk of retirement & the 0 at the end of their records... mmmm.... maybe that has a little to do with it me thinks.

    :thumbsup

You cannot say Mayweather was NOT supposed to fight there either. That's ridiculous to claim SINCE he did fight at those weights. His body is obviously made better for moving up in weight then hatton's. And if Hatton had looked great in his WW fight, no one would care that he was movuing up. But he didn't look good against a bottom 10 contender. Save the spin for your washing machine.

Hatton looked good enough to win a belt at 147.:deal Not to mention it wouldn't have mattered if the fight took place at 130 or 160 PBF would always beat Hatton. Ricky is far to reckless and PBF would always make him pay. PBF beats Ricky 10/10 times at any weight.

Do you know HOW to discuss anything properly? This isn't about who would win and what weight, it's about Hatton NOT BEING A WW. Looked GOOD ENOUGH? No, winning a mere belt doesn't PROVE he was a legit WW. You seem to think just because a guy has a belt, tht means something. Wrong. The FIGHTER makes the belt worth something by getting big wins. Collazo didn't do anything to make himself a worthy titlist. And you forget many thought Hatton was lucky to get the win. And whether Floyd beats Hatton 10 out of 10, which I agree with, it doesn't matter, because his WIN over HAtton was at a weight not suited for Hatton. And you hate that don't you.
