Has Canelo Had Most Consistently Bad Scorecards In Championship Fights Of Any Fighter In History ?

The Khan and Bivol (which all were 113-115) cards don't belong in that company, but overall I would agree. The card that had Tyson ahead against Douglas is probably the single worst ever, but I don't know of anyone else with that number of bad cards.

What the thread starter failed to mention is that there were a lot of close rounds in all of those fights.

Also the thread starter fails to mention that in almost all those fights with probably the exception of the Mayweather fight, Canelo landed more power punches than his opponents. Most classic pro boxing judges score power punches higher than jabs.

And yes, the Byrd card was probably the only outrageous one, but he's not the only fighter where a sole judge scored it strange, even Golovkin has been a benefactors of a crazy scorecard.

There have probably been more protected fighters enjoying success at the regional or national level, but I'm not sure too many have rivaled the number of belief-beggaring scorecards that ever were in the conversation for best in the world pound for pound...

The 114-114 card vs Mayweather may be the worst I’ve seen in the sport. Both Floyd and Bivol won in dominant fashion yet the judges tried to rob both of them. They robbed GGG in the first fight and arguably Lara who imo did the better work in his fight with Canelo. There are several other examples of bad scorecards in fights which didn’t go the distance.

Now some of the rounds in these fights scored for Canelo were genuinely close and there are solid arguments for him winning them. However when you are consistently given these rounds alongside rounds in which you clearly lost, something isn’t right. Canelo is a great fighter but his career has been massively influenced by favouritism and outright protection from the judges.

So, why then judges always score close rounds for Canelo and not his opponents then? It's that the clearest example of bias?

Probably yeah, but I thought BJS was losing pretty clearly before the stoppage. I don’t get how people even scored that fight for the guy, he was hardly landing anything.

Agree 100% this is when the commission should do their job , haul the offenders in watch a tape of the fight & explain their ludicrous scoring. They are either incompetant or plain crooked. Either way they should not be judging
