No, if anything he’s looking somewhat past his prime or peak, whichever way you want to say it. I expect another 12 round Bivol masterclass if that rematch takes place. Beterbiev would maul him, the Benavidez fight would be the closest and Clenelo could win that one though as Benavidez is the least impressive of the three B’s imo.

I think Canelo has peaked and is as put together as he's gonna get. There's not much more he can prove on to compliment his style

My god these boxing fans who think 20 year career boxers who have done it since leaving the womb can improve in the span of a 3 months or a new trainer. Every single one of them reverts to type against decent opponents. Canelo is basically a plodding bum when he fights legit men. Even Fury the most versatile, colourful and sexy champion of all times will turn into a juggernaut who will outwill and out heart you if he gets hurt or his boxing isn't working. Which is why adversity is the test of a true champion. I don't care how you perform knocking over Dave or Instagram Garcia. I want to see how to handle the heat of the burner. Canelo cried on the ropes pretending he was goading Bivol in when he wasn't. He was pretending to be strong when he was so so weak, Bivol played with him it wasn't competitive at all.

It's funny how you hug the nuts of a guy who dodges like a god the only fight that makes sense to him, at the same time that you make fun of a guy who has gone from WelterWeight up to LightHeavyWeight fighting champioin after champion in every weight... until finally reaching his limit and being beaten by a LHW P4P talent.

I would be ashamed of huging Fury's nuts after what he has done, dude.

Btw, canelos oposition, p4p, is way, way, way better than Fury's.

I would love to see Fury fighting chisora again, just for the fun of watching you defending that it is the best possible fight again. Just for fun.

And I find that your nuthugging is ok, you know? we all have our fetishes... yours if fury. No problem. But at least you should respect those fighters with the balls big enought to look for their limits and face real challenges.

Cool story bro. P4P is hogwash. Bringing Khan up to 154 to KO him is straight up assault.

Canelo has not improved. There's very little that he can do to improve other than plugging the hole in his gas tank. Bivol is simply a horrible stylistic matchup and I expect a repeat of last fight if they do it again

And no, canelo has not improved. He's declining in my opinion.

Miniq is right. You cant change in 3 months 20 years of boxing, just because you fought one guy or you changed your trainer.

Boxing is hardwired, not softwired. You cant change your "boxing software". Everything a fighter does under pressure in the ring is completely hardwired, and takes a lot of work to hardwire this behavior. He makes tons of things without even thinking about them. You cant change a fighter in a couple of months or, if the fighter is old, even in a couple of years.

As soon as the **** hits the fan, the true fighter comes to light. The hardware takes control of the fighter. It takes years, and even decades to create the right behaviors in a fighter when everything goes totally wrong.

No…he’s a great fighter, but just like with Fury vs Wilder, he’s just stylistically wrong for Canelo and no matter how many times they fight the outcome will be the same.

I disagree with the view that he's weakened. He's not. If ANYTHING he has stagnated because 168 is just not challenging for him and there is no more room for growth. Thats led to him relying on power shots instead of skill because thats all he needs 99% of the time to win. Its also the cause of why his stamina has dropped a lot. Moving up to 175 gave him the opportunity to grow, but the division is too much so he can't go there either. He's stuck at 168 and unless the division gets more challenging he'll just stagnate until age begins to weaken him.

As far as Bivol goes, Canelo at this point is already past his peak so he wont be getting any better. His only hope of winning is to go back to his boxing-oriented approach which utilized the jab and counter punching. He'll have better stamina and Bivol won't dominate him nearly as much as what he did the first time around. If Canelo can make that mindset change, he can make the fight close enough that the judges will side with him.
