Not quite yet . Hatton still has a win over a pound for pound elite fighter in Zyu , albeit an aging Zyu . Other than that their pretty much equal .which is not a slight on either man .

although i enjoyed ricky, froch is really a class fighter of the ricky wins above, when you look at them closer they not so impressive

tzsyu would be his best win and i was buzzed when he won but before they fought tzsyu had really bad injuries and only fought 3 rounds in two and a half year. in that time the years really cought up with tzsyu and he wasn't the fighter we all knew.

collazo is a decent fighter but not elite level and if we are truly honest collazo outboxed ricky and didn't get the decision.

malignaggi is one of the most overrated fighters of recent years he became famous for taking a beating from cotto. he can talk a really good fight but in truth he only has a fast jab, no power, no right hand.

urango was a crude one dimensional fighter who has been shown up everytime he steps it up.

froch's list is of a much higher calibre of opponent

abraham a devastating puncher at middle that dominated his division before going in to the super 6. not as devastating at super middle but froch made him look like a novice pro not a world champion who made 9 successful defences

dirrell is an immensely talented fight and imo probably deserved to get the win against froch but it was close and i couldn't argue with carl winning

jermain taylor another world class operator but maybe just short of elite level but froch showed the heart and warriors spirit in this fight to turn it round late on.

pascal showed he was class by putting the loss to froch to one side and go on to win the light heavyweight world title and defending against the very good chad dawson.

as for their losses froch was beat on a very close decision that could have went his way and ricky hatton was mentally destroyed by mayweather and i believe that the manor of his defeat to floyd ruined him. then against pacman he looked like a brawler in the street with no training against a trained boxer.

ricky was good value for excitement but never had the tools to mix it with the elite level fighters whereas froch has beat elite level fighters and in his only defeat was unlucky to lose and has a great chance to be the no1 supermiddle if he beats ward.

froch wins hands down for me

I agree 100% on Rickys resume, if you remove Tzsyu, you are not left with a whole lot at all, he either beat C+ guys or lost to A+ guys, there are no decent B+/A- wins on his resume like froch has chalked up

Urango and Abraham are fairly similiar > Both Basically slow plodding punchers who since either man fought them have slipped down the ratings and been defused .

i went for Froch but to be fair to ricky didn't he have a chest infection and nearly pull out in the Urango fight, and they ****ed the weight up for Collazo, the Hatton that fought Floyd would have beaten him much more convincingly IMHO

IMO you can't have the Taylor fight in froch's best performances as he was 60 sec from losing!

    :huh

Its best wins, not performances, by the OP's criteria. And the Taylor win is one of Carl's best, regardless of whether or not he was losing going into the last - he still got the win (this happens in boxing all the time). It would be like taking the Meldrick Taylor fight off a Chavez career best wins list.

True but Abraham had some good wins and a good run as champion at the weight below. No matter how poor Abrham was made to loom against Froch and the Yank he does add alot to what Carl has achieved.

I think Castillo should be mentioned as one of Hatton's better wins.

Past his prime perhaps, however he was only 2 fights removed from knocking out Diego Corrales very impressively. Hatton deserves credit for that win.

I think Froch possibly has eclipsed Hatton, will still treasure Ricky for moments like this though. This shot is just so pleasing to watch.
