Anyone that thinks Frochs resume has surpassed Calzaghes is either a hater, stupid or new to boxing.

    1. Froch lost to unwell Kessler coming off a loss who Calzaghe beat when undefeated

    2. Pascal wasnt even a top SMW when Froch beat him and not as accomplished at SMW as C Brewer. Pascal may be a better fighter than Brewer but not a better fighter than Woodhall and doesnt have as good a SMW resume. Calzaghe beat Hopkins who even at his age beat Pascal

    3. Taylor was 2 fights removed from a loss and has no big SMW victories and doesnt have a SMW resume as good as B Mitchell

    4. Who has Dirrell beaten? A blown up MW with no big wins. Dirrell isnt even as accomplished as Veit who Calzaghe beat twice. Dirrell just has name recognition and isnt as good a SMW as Reid

    5. Abraham coming off a loss who has done nothing at SMW and has no big wins and isnt even as accomplished at SMW as Mkertchyan

    6. Johnson. Have you seen Johnsons SMW resume:lol:? Or noted his 14 losses going in? Johnson lost to Sheika and Hopkins who Calzaghe both beat.

I like Froch and am a fan, but Froch hasnt done much more than B Mitchell
consider Mitchell is a 2 time WBA SMW champ
He beat #1 SMW Liles (something Ward is praised for doing) by KO. Froch hasnt beaten the #1
drew with future 2 weight champ Girard
beat Siaca twice who went on to become WBA SMW champ who beat Mundine
beat former MW champ JC Green who beat a prime Joppy before Joppy was beaten by Trinidad or Hopkins.

Mitchell only lost by SD to Ottke and was only ever beaten clearly once as a SMW.

Froch has only won vacant titles. One off a low rated fighter and the other off a fighter coming off a loss.

Froch has no victories as big as Eubank, Lacy, Kessler at SMW and Taylor, Johnson, AA, Dirrell are all less accomplished SMWs than Woodhall, Reid, Veit, Mkertchyan, Mitchell, Brewer.

As for people who rate Frochs power consider in being 5-1-0 in world title fights, Froch has only scored 1 KO against a previously KOd fighter that was KOd in his next fight when Froch was behind

You can't claim Pascal was elite when Froch beat him. Kessler is the only elite SMW Froch has faced. Taylor Had been badly KO'd twice by Pavlik before the Froch fight and isn't a natural SMW. In fact both times Froch has won a belt, he hasn't even beaten a current World Champion

While rarely agreeing with the content of your posts you must be given credit for the breakdown and dissection of career wins and losses of whichever fighter is being talked about. :hat

Not yet but a win vs Ward would secure a better career.

Right i'm a big Calzaghe fan but how the **** would Joe knock Froch out exactly?

    A wet fart?

EDIT: much apologies read it wrong.

To answer the TS question its hard to argue with Froch resume at this point throw in Ward a possible rematch with Kessler and then maybe BHop and it is CERTAINLY better. Provided he wins all three of course!

What a joke, narrow points win for Calzaghe. It would be even wider than the Kessler fight.
Calzaghe beat Eubank, Reid, Mitchell (a few months after being robbed of his title), Brewer (a few months after being robbed agaimst Ottke), Lacy (undeafeted world champion, ex-olympian, tore rotator cuff horibly after this fight), Bika (in his prime before any lay-offs), Kessler (in his prime before any lay-offs).

Pascal = weight drained/green, Dirrell = green/over rated. Johnson CLEARLY beat Froch last night. He landed the better shots and was the aggressor through out. All Froch had to do was make it close and his nut huggers/the judges would give him the fight. Abraham had already been beaten by Miranda @ middle + lost his last fight, but he some how ranks along side Lacy.
Look at guys Calzaghe destroyed like Veit. Veit's beaten several world class guys (even a Light Heavyweight Champion) but he's still written off as a 'bum'.

As soon as a few top Americans arrive with a tournament format, the hype comes with them.

Lol I don't give a **** what anybody says Johnson won last night. Just like he won about 9 rounds against Dawson the first time around and all of Dawson's nut huggers (he had many at the time) backed up the decision. Froch didn't really win many clear rounds at all last night. Close rounds should be split evenly (but when TV companies and promoters want someone to win they never are). Certainly as 1 36 minute round Johnson takes it but he did enough anyway. 116-112. If Johnson was the big name guy, all the money was behind, he would have won last night and nobody would be complaining.

Calzaghe may be the better fighter, but Froch's resume is more impressive.
