Hopkins.. old and moves well, but hardly throws punches these days.

I think Dawson is capable.. and might get HOF. He is boring and ackward.. but not a bad boxer.

For the record I wan't implying he was HOF worthy, I was simply saying that the dude isn't even 30 and has amassed a really solid resume considering the division he fights in is essentially ****. I don't consider his resume (including the loss) to be underwhelming, it's actually quite good.

 

P4P what he has done is not impressive. He is a huge guy at LHW with looong reach. Pair that with a weak division this means that his best option is to go to CW and stay there a year, get a belt and then move to HW.

This will be in 2 years and by then Vitaly will have retired and he could be a credible opponent for Wlad. And not least the money is far far better than where he is now.

He could fight Ward first, but the other 168ers is pretty much mismatches because Dawson is so huge already.

Needs to reign at LHW and beat whoever the king at SMW is once they move up whether it be Ward or Bute. Then a CW world title and maybe a few defenses and yeah he could. Don't give me that Barry crap lol

Don't get me wrong, it's possible that he'll achieve enough to, one day, get in but suggesting he already has is lowering the bar considerably on the entry requirements.

 

Dawson doesn't need 19 consecutive title defenses to be a HOFer. Quality over quantity, and he has a damn good chance of putting those quality names on his list of wins. Cleaning out 175 plus Ward and Bute and then some championship success at cruiserweight would make him a shoe-in for the hall.
