Love how certain *****'s on this thread that are also Khan haters, are now saying Mayweather only went life and death with Maidana because of Maidana's dirty tactics that the ref allowed, but apparently it was the ref that saved Khan, even though the ref got involved just as much and Maidana was a hell of a lot dirtier against Khan.

I can't stand *******'s but at least they are not as hypocritical as *****'s.

Pacquiao fights at catchweight= disgrace. Mayweather does= legend

Pacquaio fights a predictable plodder trainer by Robert Garcia and beats him easy= **** opponent, Mayweather does and goes life and death= top 10 pound for pound opponent.

Chino did fight a bit dirty this time but the reason was plain and simple. He was fighting SInclair, who kept holding, crying to the ref, throwing forearms and constantly fighting in reverse. Chino did what he had to do to win the fight.

A bit of dirty tactics on both ends but as expected, Sinclair nuthuggers were only focused on Chino's "dirty deeds". :-((

 

Maidana has always been a aggressive pushing the rules fighter and there is nothing wrong with it

 

He is not all about being PC
Maidana is a warrior who requires one to earn his respect. Khan earned it early in round one but Maidana punished him IMO

I like the fact that Maidana doesn't touch gloves, he doesn't play that ****. After seeing what happened to Victor Ortiz I wouldn't touch gloves either

Chino fought how he needed to fight to win, but came up short. Competitive fight and pleasing to watch.

If you think a fighter is going to fight "clean" and beat Mayweather, you're tripping. Mayweather has his own bag of tricks in regard to some less than clean tactics. He did a nice lace job on Maidana's face at one point, can't remember which round. Likes to use the forearm to push off or force an opponent to move their head into punching position.

Both fighters did their share of dirt. The only thing I took issue with was the excessive rabbit punching as stated by many others here. I think Weeks gave far too many warnings without taking a point off. Just IMO. If you're going to warn 20 times without ever taking a point... the warnings really don't matter much. At one point Weeks gives a warning, and Maidana throws 2 more shots behind the head. Weeks says nothing. No consistency from the referee when it came to the rabbit punching, and I also thought Weeks missed several low blows.

To be fair though, very hard fight to referee. There was so much fouling/grey area moves going on by both men, you could have literally stopped the action every 30 seconds or so.

 

Chino has never suckered punched anyone on a break. Far less dirty than Floyd.

 

Maidana tried to lay Khan out at the beginning of their fight when Khan went to touch gloves, just because he "missed" doesn't mean it wasn't dirty. :hi:

Maidana is a take no prisoners type of fighter. He asks for no mercy and he gives no mercy. Floyd should have known that **** and came prepared to light his dirty ass right back up cause like the previous poster said.; Maidana only respects power. Floyd should have knocked his nut sack back up in his ass in response. Then the boxing might have started a little earlier. Maidana is a hard man but I have never seen him so blatant with the dirty **** as I did in the Mayweather fight. A man has to have a certain amount of fear to perform in that manner. He wasn't fighting to win a fight, he was fighting to hurt a man and that's not cool. That **** was overboard but showed how cool Mayweather can be under those circumstances. Big Props to the Money man.
