Really good post. Neither guy fights like an angel in there, and they both did business at points in the fight. The attempted knee lieft was a bit unnecessary, though. Had it connected, it likely would have resulted in an immediate DQ. God only knows what Maidana was thinking in that moment.

Why do people pretend that this wasn't deserved? Ortiz had attempted several deliberate headbutts over the rounds before the missile launch. Honestly, Ortiz should have been stomped on for that crap after he got knocked down. I would have been furious and would have been looking to end the man, permanently.

Sucker punch my ass. Ortiz didn't get it bad enough and got off easy in my opinion. Ortiz deserved to get beat down for that bull****. And Ortiz looking for a hug after that **** was shameless.

all you have done is justify floyds sucker punch by pointing to ortiz's fouls

Referee gave the signal to box. No sucker punch. Ortiz went to touch gloves with a man he just launched his head into on purpose. That is beyond idiotic.

Just be real man, the guy deserved it and Floyd didn't owe him ****. Professionalism goes out the window when the other guy is throwing his head into you on purpose, which could end your career permanently on a foul. Was Victor's Flying Headbutt professional?

Very dangerous what Ortiz did. There should be absolutely zero blame for the actions Floyd took, or any sympathy for Ortiz. **** that fool.
