that was know push he got smacked an tried to hold on torres tried to stop him from holding on and there was a time when the rope held him up
he's done the chicken dance more than once, but he's shown a better chin lately (hasn't been hurt) and when he was hurt he showed excellent survival skills.
Only once against Torres [a big knonkout puncher], and that was when he was starving himself to make 140 pounds. It has never happened during his fights at welterweight
Only once and it was "push" down. He can watch it yourself in youtube. He was clear hurt while this happened but he has never been cleanly knockdown.
I have seen all his fights and I can say he was hurt badly against Corley but not dropped, hurt badly by now champion Ricardo Torres (a big knock out puncher 31 wins 29 by KO and his only loss to Cotto) He was knocked down by Torres on a push as someone stated earlier. If you look at Cotto as he is on going down he signals to the ref that it was a push. However I didn't have a problem with it being called a knockdown. Note all his problems came at the 140 lb limit which lead many experts to believe it was a weight drainned Cotto that lead to all of his problems. During the Corley fight Cotto made the limit of 140lb as he weighted in at an unusual time of 9 am giving him enough time to blow up to 165lb the night of the fight. Since that fight he hired his personal trainer Phil Lindman or something like that and has had an easier time making 147lbs it is known that he walks around at around 160lbs or higher when not training. Any sensible person knows when are being weight drainned like that it takes it toll.
only once and it was defiantely a push against torres! whoever has seen it and NOT think its a push is clearly blind as hell!!!
He was down against Torres. Even though most consider it a push he was clearly trying to hold on and Torres didn't let him and that caused him to go down. Cotto would of went down eventually IMO.
