anyone forget corley's fold away right hook? it's strange becuase less than 2 years ago Cotto was a joke, who just happend to be unbeaten and have a belt. very good fighter, but if he can get tagged like that, weak chin or iron chin, drained or fit...the point is that he can be put down. one from a puncher but limited torres, and a good counterpuncher but was well past it corley. ive always felt someone dedicated to throwing a jab cross long enough would be able to tag him.
that jab had some mustard on it but how many people do you think would say "bad reffing" if it wasnt ruled a kd. he was hurt ,he tried to clinch torres moved away and down goes cotto. pushed down but that isnt telling the whole story.
Barely touched the canvas? If you call putting most of your weight on your right hand, to avoid falling on your ass as barely, then ok. As for Cotto, he wasn't going down eventually. He was hurt much worse 30 to 45 seconds before the pulldown, and managed to bravely stay on his feet, all while fighting back. You clearly have a bias, and that is why I threw the bait out there, knowing you would bite hook, line and sinker.
Thing is, I like Floyd, and think he's as good as it gets. I just have a problem with these Floyd groupies, who are first to point out how Cotto is somehow lacking. They are both great fighters, and there is no reason why people can't appreciate both. I know you're not a big Floyd fan, but you admit he is a great fighter. I think your beef with him is the same as mine, and that's how he isn't fighting the top 47's and is taking huge paydays, all while saying he's fighting for legacy.
my beef with floyd is that i have a chance to see one of the best ever (possible best ever if he steps up his comp, not his game, his comp)...but i'm not being allowed that cause though he's a fighter, he doesn't have the heart of one anymore....he's a businessman with the shell of a fighter and that ****en annoys me, cause with all that money, he should just invest it and make more and more and more instead of wasting our time....
...and I agree with all that. :good He is one of the best ever, just needs the competition to put the exclamation point on his career.
I swear everytime Miguel has a fight coming up people always mention his bouts with Corley and Torres, please both fights were 3 years ago right?..........why keep on mentioning them.
be careful what you my man. he has only been down once. that was in the torres fight. however, he really has never been down from a punch b/c torres actuallly pulled/pushedhim down to the ground. cotto was clearly hurt at the time, but technically h's nuever been put down by a punch.
He was pushed in the Torres fight. Nothing was holding him up. That is some ******ed **** to say from boxing novices.
if judah never put his head down to avoid he body attack he would have never been hit by it so he can blame himself for that and for the fact that he didn't take his 5 min rest
