cotto has not earned anything. when he steps up and beats a young champion like floyd did yesterday then we can start talking about cotto being for real. right now he is not even on the radar.

cotto must face the cintron/williams winner to get a shot at floyd. this way if floyd beats the winner then the haters won't have any other fighter to throw up as floyd is ducking.

Since when does anyone have to 'earn' a shot at Floyd?

    Of course, why not?
Even though it would make it a bigger fight if Williams/Cotto fight and the winner meets Floyd, would be better but if they want to make it next then I can't blame them. Good fight.

    yes.

    Although Mosley won :good

Cotto stands a much better chance against Floyd at 147 than Hatton ever would.

Of course he does. To reiterate what someone else said, Cotto deserved a chance more than Hatton did.

Your thoughts confuse me. How the hell am I a Cotto hater?, I've been supporting Cotto since he had 12 professional fights, hell I even have his entire amateur record to boot, where the hell are you getting this?, from what I said when I criticized his ability to take a punch like everyone(including most of his logical fans) does? :patsch

if cotto fights mayweather next, mayweather beats him and people will say mayweather needs to fight williams, margarito, citron, etc. these top contenders need to fight eachother with the winner getting a shot at mayweather. floyd fought Oscar and Hatton back to back, he doesnt need to prove himself against cotto right now
