I feel you, but the history of Arum is that he always gives his fighters easy test after big fights.

I didn't lose a fight but I bet Relentless that Gomez would last 12 rounds with Cotto. I picked Cotto to win by wide UD instead of KO.:-(

I think it's virtually impossible to judge a fighter off a fight like this. In order to properly gauge a fighter's abilities they actually need to break a sweat.

All I really learned was about Gomez. And that was that he was far out of his league and has nothing to offer against his division's elite.

What I noticed is he looked a lot lighter Saturday night than he normally does. I was curious to see how much weight he put on overnight, but HBO didn't have the fight night weights for the main event, even though they did for Cintron-Margarito.

Cotto did what he had to do ... but him being an elitist, he shouldve not agreed to fight that guy ... it was very clear early on that he was on his level.

I believe it was Lamps that mentioned Cotto came into the ring lighter than he has in the past, but they didn't give the weight. With the countdown to Mosley v. Cotto it showed him finally working with a nutritionist so maybe its really starting to pay off.

The Mosely fight's a better one to judge his speed. He certainly was putting it all together on Sat. night though.
