Truthfully guys i think we need to see him fight a decent Heavy before people start saying he is the saviour.

Doing a number on Maccaranelli, who is a small Cruiser and fighting a true heavy are two completely different propositions.

I think Haye will win a title at heavy but he wont be a champion with a long run

He throws the uppercut beautifully. It has disguise and it whips in under the guard with great snap.
He also goes to the body well, something people do not give him credit for, but numerous times when he has back someone up he goes to the body and rips his hooks in with real venom.

It was body shots that started to open up Mormecks tight guard, it was a body shot that finally opened up Fragomeni for the stoppage and he has been comfortable going to the body from day one.

When he bothers to use it, he also has a fast and hard jab.

So in brief, he has a very good jab, mixes his shots up downstairs and upstairs, throws an excellent and disguised uppercut, has a dynamite right cross, great hand speed and good reactions.

I would say that constitutes being technically pretty good on the offensive front.

Yes, I agree, it's probably best to watch more until jumping to any conclusions.

    Or not.

I noticed this attribute of his when re watching the Mormeck fight, he was banging in big right hooks to the body.

i believe the only thing haye has to worry about in the current heavyweight division is wlad and his jab, i cant see anyone having the conditioning to go withhim, i think haye is too sharp for all havyweights an with a little more experience he has great things ahead of him at HW

i think the mormeck fight showed he won't always just go for the ko. he was prepared to go into the later rounds breaking mormeck down with those huge body shots....and the stoppage just followed.

Could he do that to a McCall or Tua type heavyweight? A iron chinned banger will require Haye to get on his bike and win by UD. Can he do that? im not sure.

Neither am I. It's all well and good having the left hand low when you are bossing the fight but it's a liability if you are on the back foot.

He was still on his feet when the fight was stopped against Carl Thompson.

He has better mobility and more speed of movement than any Heavyweight. He could easily out boxed, stick and move David Tua.

well he is more a counterpuncher than a sluuger. he does trade and stuff but he has a decent jab and can box his way out of trouble.
