Just to clear up where I wrote...
There are several HWs that I think have a greater singular win than any Wilder holds which is surprising for a fighter with 40 fights and 8 world title fights.

Some below I think have greater resumes as well as a singular win but the singular win comment IMO...
Haye with his win over Valuev
Bellew with his win over Haye
Joshua with his win over Parker
Fury with his win over Klitschko
Povetkin with his win over Chagaev

debatable IMO - Whyte with the Brown win, Parker with the Ruiz Jnr win, Pulev with the Ustinov win

Should it not be about resume rather than a title?

I think today's fans have changed the way in which we view boxing. I don't really disagree here. I just find a lot of you guys ruthless to a degree of humor. It is humorous

I Would love to have had this crew/era of fans rating fighters of old, reel time and not historically.

Grading Wilder today..if it were Dempsey... I see what he did from 1921-1926. 4 fights. Man I'd love to log on & read U cats rips his arse! No one would say he's holding the HW title hostage?

if we were in Clay's era---and bring the internet with us...who here wouldn't call him out for NEVER going to the body? Who here would call laying on the ropes like a dope, science? Technique? That's not technique. It's a VIP ticket to brain damage.
We'd be crying to have Angeloo Dundee kicked out of boxing...when he ripped Clay's glove to buy him time.

Just wondering if Joe Louis had just lost this past Saturday to Max Schmelling...I mean round by round--who here would NOT say...today "Max exposed the would be bum of the month fighter" No one?:nonono

Just wondering if Joe Frazier retired this weekend with 32-4-1, what makes him hall of fame worthy? Beating Ali ?

    and who else?:dunno

Yeah, Wilder does things wrong and he does things right. He's done something 40 times and counting--win.:ggg
