Has Donnie Nietes been underrated as a P4P boxer?

Seems to me he's had quite successful a boxing career, but I rarely see his name mentioned in P4P discussions.

I've never heard anything for him remotely resembling the kind of hype there was for Roman Gonzalez.

    Does Nietes deserve more recognition?

I'm looking forward to seeing Nietes and the other flyweights and super-flyweights on the HBO telecast tonight. There will no doubt be some entertaining fights!

No, I'd go as far as to say he's OVER-RATED by the hardcore fans. A 3 weight champion in the lower weights but has NEVER fought any Japanese fighter or any world class Filipino fighter...and TBH the only world class Thai he has fought is Pornsawan Porpramook....that's bull for a guy who has fought in the 3 division's essentially dominated by his regional rivals

Nietes is fighting very well tonight, he's still very quick despite his age.
